Full Version: The thing in the underwater cave

There was once a cave out in the vast waters of the ocean in Doolin, Ireland. In this cave, there were legends of a creature that was strong enough to rip apart ships that were large as buildings. Men would hunt this creature, but they would never return from the depths of the ocean. The creature is said to be an eel-like fish, it's body as long as 10 miles and it's mouth filled with 3 sets of razor sharp teeth to tear it's victoms to shreds. It lies in an underwater cave that many have never been found, or the survivors never came back. If there were any survivors left, it would be too much of a gruesome story to tell.

A creature with a 10 mile long body... the big daddy of all dinos..... of course it exists. sleepy.gif
ROGUE_HUNTER
With something over 5 miles in length, it is hard to believe that nobody in modern times have seen this creature. Say it was male then there must be a female and they must have offspring to survive, so somehow or somewhere something must be seen; or a piece of giant flesh washing ashore or something...

a Bigger problem would be what the creature will eat to survive (5 blue whales for starters and 10 sperm whales for the main course) thumbup.gif
ROGUE_HUNTER
It might be more believable if it's size was more proportionate, but 10 miles in size? ohmy.gif (too much see and sun for those sailers wacko.gif )

Sounds like an urban myth to stop prying eyes looking in on an IRA weapons storage unit. (Irish accent)

Can you post a link to the information. I have been scouring Doolin archives and cannot find anything. Thanks
