A. S. (as in "ante scriptum" ;))
First of all, I apologise if there has been previous discussion about this topic elsewhere on this forum.
Also, if you happen to reply and there is no (quick) answer from me, it doesn't mean that I am "ignoring" you. It just means that my other lives - specifically, the third and the fifth one - are taking way too much of my time right now... ;)
The question itself is quite simple (verbally, that is):
What if premonitions and clairvoyance (meaning objective pre-cognisance of events - not paranoid "guessing" or a constant flow of superstitions coinciding with some real event) are, in fact, memories?
That would explain them without resorting to a fatalistic view of the world (not that I'd mind fatalism - in fact, I am quite envious of those who do honestly believe everything is predetermined) or the correspondent notion of Time.
It could, however, imply parallel timelines.

Any such theory is just about as good and as plausible as any other explaining de ja vu and such.
I could smoke a doob right now and come up with another couple for you if you would like.

In what way do premonitions resemble memories?
How does remembering the future not imply predestination?

Many years ago a colleague and I came up with the term of 'Pre-ja Vu'; whereby (as you intimate) a person pre-experiences an event or encounter that is yet to occur, and may pre-experience this many times before it eventually occurs - then going to re-experience as Deja Vu...
When I was involved with channeling, a message that came thru for me time and time again was to "remember the future", as this could be used to explain and focus the 'now'. The difficult bit for the conscious mind to grasp was that while destiny was predetermined, the rate at which destiny occurred could be accelorated (or retarded) by one's actions 'now'.

True.
History has a nasty way of repeating experiences until you get it right.
