That is too cool!

I can't get over how amazing that guy is.

I really like the one where it looks like he moved a section of the sidewalk.

Just wicked!!

I love the last one with batman and robin.

That is so amazing.

Yeah, mind-blowing. Makes me want to go wear out the knees on my jeans. I'd love to see that in person. Richie.

OMG! That is awesome! This guy is amazing. <Throwing gold dubloons into his upturned hat.>

Ya, this guy is pretty amazing. Like really amazing, this is something I surely would never have thought of or even tried!

It's interesting because the photographs are actually taken from a specific angle.

If you for example, walked 90 degrees to the other side of the artwork, you wouldn't be able to tell what it was.

Some of those sidewalk paintings are actually up to 12' feet long and unless you look at the from just the right angle, they just look all distorted.

This is a photograph of one of his pieces taken from the "wrong angle"

And here is the same artwork taken from the correct angle:

That artist was featured in a British newspaper a couple of times and I ended up tearing out the pictures of his artwork and keeping them because I couldn't bear to screw them up and throw them away lol.

I think he is so talented and the pictures are fascinating to say the least! I just couldn't stop looking at them.

Brilliant link, some of those piccies I have never seen, I think I will stick it in my favourites!

One other thought, I think he does the drawings in chalk (could be wrong), it seems such a shame, if that is the case that the rain could just wash them away sad.gif.

I think he should be employed to do 3D art on some ugly walls, even those obsessed with grafitti surely wouldn't ruin those!

I have seen this guy's work many times, on the internet and in the newspaper and I have to say, that I just never get tired of looking at it - ever!

He is, to me, an incredibly talented artist and his paintings just fascinate me to such an extent I could look at them for ages.

Do you know, I think he could earn a lot of money if people paid him to do murals on walls in their gardens etc. At the end of our garden we have a rotton old building (not ours but our neighbours over the back fence), it would look so good if he could do something like a 3D Caribbean beach painting on it). Mind you, if he did do that, I would probably be sitting out there all day looking at it and not get any work done laugh.gif

Absolutley amazing. It is really hard to get volume to a 2-d surface. It can be done, but it takes most artists a few days to get it right, I would think this guy has to work fast before it rained or anyone stepped on his artwork.

I wondered about the angle of view and how it would affect the image. Neat post. Thank you.
