once in a great while i here someone call my name. but its in my head. its in a low whisper and i dont know what it is any advice because its driving my crazy!!
am i hearing someones thought whos trying to communicate with me?
or am i just hearing stuff?

Well this isn't meant as an insult or anything so don't take it as offensive.

I sometimes hear names and things in my head that are intrusive and it's because of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. I'm not saying that's what you have, but if you experience other things that could also be symptoms of OCD then that's one thing that can cause sort of 'voices'.

That's a very good point, I wasn't aware of that characteristic. I will say that if it is your spirit guide, you may have some kind of ability if you are experiencing other things such as sightings or strong sensations. It's hard to say, do you have any experiences that are paranormal?

not really i just here the voice.
on a side note after mygrandma died i felt her one day touch my sholder after i hered the voice and i usually feel as if someones waching me
but i hered the voice before she died too, i havent hered it in a while, its usually during school, but i no its nobody there because it always sounds the same with not the same people around

Like Coldethyl, I'm not trying to be funny or cute when I say that if you hear voices when no one is around, you should get a psychiatric evaluation. Hearing the voices doesn't mean you have a mental disorder any more than chronic headaches mean you have brain cancer, but in both cases, it's best to be sure.

You very well could be talking to someone who wishes to communicate with you. It could be a spirit, or someone else. Whenever you hear someone call your name, as he or she tp keep talking. Tell whoever it is that you can hear them, and to keep talking. This may work, because it has worked for me. I frequently hear people call out my name, shout at me, or sometimes I just hear someone talking to someone else. Hope that works!

i think is see it in my dreams and i accually see it in real life, like this certen place and like for example i look around and see glasses and a dead animal on the road, i see it thw week or later

I get Desa vu a little, every once in a while. My aunt gets it more then me. She see's more shocking things, like murders, car crashes, and other things... I'll have things happen, like when I lay in bed, I listen to a song in my head, and after a few minutes I turn on my radio, and hear it. Just little things like that.

Everyone has a degree of psychic ability, some are born with a more apparent ability, but with training to hone in talents, such as precognitive ability that people have in dreams, or to increase their ability to rely on instinct, you can make your psychic ability more apparent. You see everyone is psychic, how do you know if your ability is more apparent? Simple you'd be able to know something was different, such as dreams coming true, better reliance upon instinct, blah blah blah.

I completely agree. The day superman died, (I know his name is Christopher, but his last name excapes me) my mom had a horrible feeling in the pit of her stomach like something bad would happen. That same day she got a call from my sister that she had gotten in a bad car accident. Her name is Christopher.

I sometimes get premonitions of things, and often have vivid deja vu, often enough for me to remember what happens next, and change it so it doesn't happen, by acting out the scene differently to how I first experienced it. (I get them in dreams, and I only remember them when I see something in a particular way, when it all comes back to me and I can remember it like yesterday, so to speak)

I too get deja vu but I still think you should go to the doc for a check up.

I tell you what ... sometimes if I go shopping with my mother and we get separated in the store she can think my name and I will hear it. Its something she has taught me since I was a child and it has gotten so strong sometimes that when she thinks of my name hard enough I will out loud say 'What, you don't have to yell' as I turn around to look for her. Yet she is not around but I have a lot of people staring at me in the store.
I think it takes a lot to learn the craft of being psychic. Or at least being able to use the craft when you want to use it.
Sometimes while I'm checking out of a store I can think about how much the stuff I bought will be more often that not I can either guess the exact amount or come within a penny or so of it.
I don't think your crazy but if you do start hearing things about 10 or more times a day you should probably get it checked out. But other than that I think if you work at it you will be able to work with your blessing.

Hi- Here are my feelings - take them for that they're worth- being a psychic or empath or whatever it is, is not something that just "happens" to you. I think everyone is born with some sort of ability...ever had a "gut feeling" or experience "woman's intuition"? THAT'S PSYCHIC; simple as that. I do believe that certain people learn to grow and broaden their certain abilities moreso than others; if they chose to do so. I don't consider it a gift one has and another doesn't. No, it's all in us in one form or another. It's just how you choose to deal with it that matters. Call me crazy, whatever, just my opinion.

I have often wondered if my psychic abilities are more apparent. I have had many experiences, one for example: When I was younger I went on a trip with my church youth group to a camp in Tocoa Georgia. We stayed a week and I had a wonderful time. The day we left we mad a stop to visit the Tocoa Falls. You were able to walk right up to the bottom of the falls and even stand on the rocks. The closer I walked to the falls the more uncomfortable I became. The uncomfortable feeling became so over whelming that I stood from afar and waited while the others went on (I could still see everyone). After everyone was finished viewing the falls we went into the souvenir shop. I like to read so I of course went to the books. I found a book about a great flood that happened there and turned out that at the top of those falls there once was a dam that broke and flooded at 3am several years ago. Many people died that morning, the book that I read was stories being told by survivors. I did not know about this flood prior to visiting the falls and wondered if maybe I knew something terrible had happened there before. The feeling that I had gotten that day was not a scared feeling just very uncomfortable. Hard to explain it. What do you think about this experience?

I think this happens to everyone from time to time. Around once a month I may hear someone say my name while lying in bed or hear whispering when no one's around. It's much more logical to attribute these to your own mind than to the supernatural - our cognitive system is highly complex and glitches can and do occur!

I've had this happen, but i think it was a case of sleep paralysis ( I hope)

I heard it as a whisper scream and even felt the breath in my ear-I couldn't tell if the voice was male or female-it was neutral

whoa...I think I have the same kind of problem.

sometimes, I can hear my mom shouting out my name, yet shes not even at home and at work.

I posted something earlier about experiences I have had. I usually sense something before an event happens, usually a sad one. I also believe a presence visits and sometimes just some knocking. I have heard music and voices as well. I've been to doctors, counselors, and neurologists, so I'm healthy mentally and physically.

What I'd like to know is how do you develop this if this exists and you might have it?
