Hi everyone, i've been wanting to do my own research lately, and was hoping to come across a credible ufologist. I've read alot of things about alot of people in the field, but the biggest is stanton friedman. Some people say he's legitamite, while others say he doesn't want the truth to come out. And has been viewed as a shady figure in the past. Are these things true? How much should i read into what he says? What are everyone's thoughts on him? thanks

He knows a decent amount of information... he seems like a pretty good person to trust. However, you should always be careful as to who you really trust. Read his quote, "Sincerity is not a check in truth."

in my honest opinion i belive he is a disinformation agent. he has way to many current and past ties to the government to be 100% trustworthy. he has shot down anyone who has come out with information on ufos that come from a military background. if you read up on him and his work you will see he is more like a mushroom farmer as he feeds us lil bits of info and sh** and keeps us in the dark.

I don't agree. I trust him 100% with his research.
And no he does not shoot down all sightings. He just Finds all the fakers out there. He does his home work when it comes to his research.

Stanton sure talks the talk, but like the rest of them, his hard scientific evidence falls a little bit short, to say the least.
I would like nothing more than his, and the others, bla bla bla to be true, but I need more than stories to believe that aliens have found us and made it to Earth.

Stanton is one of the better believers out there. I love hearing him speak, as he is a very smart fella. I give him credit because whenever i see or hear him talk to some de-bunkers, he just shuts them up . The debate he has with Seth Shostak was a classic, and just proved that some de-bunkers just dont know what they are chatting about. I have alwyas had an open mind with roswell, and i still think the truth has not been revealed, and it was Stanton who saw the holes in the origional government cover-up, and it is stanton who see's the holes in the project M explanation too.

Like ALL UFO researchers, you can't trust them 100%. Sure how could you? Stanton puts forward some very strong and convincing arguments about his cases, and I think he is one of the best in the field.
A lot of people criticize him for believing the MJ12 documents are real, but find me someone who has spent more time in national archives researching their authenticity.....

i shoot down most sightings myself, thats not what i meant! you've had a few people who came out (i cant remember the names) saying they use to work for the government as different jobs and they saw some things that showed them their was another life form out their, he goes out of his way to try to debunk all of them lazar was ok, but when he tried it with philip corso he sounded ridicolous

I know i'm going out on a limb here, but does anyone have anything else to say? I know i shouldn't trust everyone, and especially what they say. But i would love to know what the hub bub is, why it's so secret, and why the truth is so darn important, that the government has to spin around 50 billion times to keep it out of anyone's hands. I wonder what the truth could be, maybe it's just simple as to say it fills in all of life's little missing link's, maybe but who's to say. Although i've wanted to stand behind a ufologist, but i'm weary of it.
