Reading the other Astral Proj. thread was interesting and gave me better insight on how to use it:

http://www.unexplained-mysteries.com/forum...showtopic=60199

But, I have a question about "focusing" on yourself and "clearing" the mind.

I just can not seem to do it without other thoughts bouncing around my head to disturb the mood.

One minute, I'm trying to focus on myself and imagine myself sitting in a room. But then I revert back to stupid, pointless thoughts.

Can anyone give me any tips on how to help this problem? Because I'd like to, one day, astral project myself!

You must try really hard to keep a clear mind and after some time you will get used to it

I have the same problem. There are always words or other thoughts in my head about nothing, or about trying to focus in itself.

This would be hard for someone with A.D.D.

Stare at an object directly in front of you.
This could be a candle flame, or any shiny object. While looking at the central object, concentrate on what lies within your peripheral vision, without taking your eyes off the central object. Do this in a darkened room.
You can even put some soothing music on. After this simply relax and let go. The beginning of the process can be quite frightening and it's very important not to break your concentration, or try to hold back. Try it. original.gif

When I first started tryin AP, I could not concentrate for 30 seconds, never mind enough time to go AP and look around. I learned to clear my thoughts and whatnot by researching some Meditation techniques, which really really helped me a lot. So now I can clear my thoughts whenever I need, but sadly I do not try astral projection because evertytime I leave my body, or start to, I get scared. I just have to work on telling myself that nothing can happen to me and as soon as I need to be back I can be. But I just can't get it through my head no.gif . Someday... Anyways... try some meditation exercises and Good Luck.

Cheers,

It's not so much blocking out thoughts as it is just ignoring them. Just stay focused. Other thoughts are bound to interupt, but just ignore them and gently shift your focus back to what you were doing.
