Now, I don't know if this actually happened, or if I was having a momentary brain belch and I just saw something.
I was riding my little white pony in my pasture, minding my own business. Looking at the moutains, and what not. When I heard two people talking behind me. I turn sharply, and I saw two figures, almost translucent. The odd thing was, I had never seen these people in my life, and they were dressed in like the old west style clothing. The woman was wearing a dress down to the ground, the only thing showing was her black boots. She had her light brown hair up in a bun, and she had linked arms with a man. The man was wearing a huge cowboy hat like the one you would by at the fair, he was wearing tan pants, tan boots, and a tan looking vest. He had two guns on his hips too. The woman and man never even looked at me. It was like they were replaying their last moments together. The woman was smiling and laughing, I found it sort of sweet and romantic. They disappeared within seconds.
Anyway, was this just my mind playing tricks on me? Or could I really have seen this?

Pretty interesting. Experiencing something like that, I wouldn't know what to think. Seeing as I don't think I've ever had my mind play a trick on me like that, if your experience had happened to me, I would probably think that it was real (or at least something more than just my mind acting up). Have you ever experienced something like this before?

I haven't experienced anything like this on my horse, but after that I've seen a man many times in my living room sitting on my couch. My aunt had confirmed that. She saw him also. I had a little girl follow me in my house; she always stood right next to me. She always wanted to be right next to me and be in everything I was doing. I had a little toddler follow me around also. The girl and the little boy are gone, but the man is still here. I don't think he's going to do anything, but he watches me from time to time, every once in a while, he'll be sitting on my couch when I come in.

Wow! Not too many people wore 2 guns unless they were law enforcers or outlaws. Maybe it was a type of haunting in which the emotional moment or cause of death was so powerful that it left it's print on the place. In those types of hauntings they are not true ghosts but "spiritual prints" which would just replay, like a movie. Those types of hauntings won't acknowledge you because they are just scenes in the deceased's lifetimes.

Cool! I'd revisit that spot with a camera and see what happens. Could be a time slip to. Very intriguing.

That's an interesting account thumbsup.gif could be timeslip or residual. Did your sorroundings like any land marks seem out of place or change at all?
Banana Man
I'd freak out.

Important question....

the mind is more powerful than anyone can imagine until you experience it first hand. I think unless you have a witness then you can never know what it was, the mind or something else. I know of a girl who has schizophrenia and she sees people as clear as day, as solid as anyone else can even feel smell n see their relfections. The perfect humans yet I nor anyone else round her ever sees them and medication works so it seems nothing more than her mind.

Hmm. That's pretty interesting. I, personally, think that they were spirits. that's just my opinion.

Thanks so much guys for replying. I don't think that anything changed. It was on my property, and I saw them walking in a place I normally walk everyday. My aunt said that she felt like a tragedy of some kind happened there like a fire or a flood. Where I live there are a lot of fires because it is very dry, so they could have been there in a time that there was a fire of some kind. They might have died. I tried to get some info, but I can't. Thanks again for your posts!

Piney is right.
Not many people in the Old West wore two sixguns, unless they were peace officers or outlaws.
Was this pasture on old farmland?
For farmers, the most popular firearm was a shotgun, either single or double-barreled. The most popular gauges were 10, 12 and 16, with 12 the most popular.
Do you know anything about the land you saw it on? Did it once belong to a peace officer, or was it a hideout for outlaws?
A little digging might give you some clues. Start with the local courthouse, they'll have records on who owned the land. This will give you a series of names. The names may be searchable on the internet.
Searching for an old name at the local newspaper is usually frustrating. Few newspapers have digital morgues (Journalese for where the old editions are kept in archive). Digitizing old editions is just too laborious and expensive.
However, if you can find the date of land purchase, you may find a note about the sale in an old paper. I'd search a window of two weeks before the purchase date, and four weeks after. That's a lot of searching but if there's anything at all, it should be in that frame.
You'll have to scrutinize closely. The old newspapers printed few photos or illustrations and packed a LOT of type into each page. It may be nothing more than "Sam Jones of Moscow, Idaho purchased the old Handover farm last week."
It may be even less than that.
You'll find yourself easily distracted when reading old newspapers. When I worked as a reporter on an Idaho newspaper, they had a morgue going back to the paper's founding in 1908. During lunch, I'd read issues that were 70 to 80 years old. It was fascinating. Good way to learn a little local history.

Thanks for the tips. The only thing is, my town is so small we don't have a courthouse. All I know is it was just property of someone guys, then it was property that belonged to some family. But that was about 30 something years ago. I don't know what it was before that besides the turkey farm. My library is not much help at all either.
I suppose he could have been an outlaw or an officer. He seemed more like an officer to me. The first thing I noticed about him was his huge hat, it was almost a fake hat that you would buy from a fair. It was funny looking. My first thought because of his hat was that he was a sheriff or something.
I'm positive he didn't have a shotgun because I own about 30 of them. I shoot for fun, and my house is full of trophies. I have 12 guage, 20 guage, a rifle, and a few other guns. I like me gun, a 20 guage over under, breakopen. It kicks like heck but it's awesome. Thanks again for your post
