I'm new to posting here but this passage was revealed to me and I thought it may warrant discussion or thoughts, although it may have been discussed before? I recently experienced what I can only refer to as a visitation by the Holy Ghost if you will and decided I had better heed it as I was raised Christian. I immediatly delved into some deep retrospective thinking and began to once again seek my savior and change my ways as I have been living in ways that would not please my God. In my new found agian studies I came across this passage. As one who has seen and beleives in ufos I was troubled as to their place in my beliefs, now the Lord has reveiled them to me and I thought I would share in my newly found enlightenment. The passage reads (for those of you who may not have access) starting in verse 10:10 Then he (Peter) became very hungry (coincidence? I think not as I am hungry for knowledge) and wanted to eat;but while they made ready he fell into a trance 10:11 and saw heaven opened and an object like a great sheet bound at the four corners, decending to him and let down to earth. 10:12 In it were all kinds of four-footed animals of the earth, wild beasts, creeping things, and birds of the air. 10:13 And a voice came to him, "Rise ,Peter, kill and eat." 10:14 But Peter said "Not so my Lord for I have never eaten anything common or unclean." 10:15 And a voice spoke to him again the second time "What God has cleansed you must not call common" 10:16 This was done three times. And the object was taken up into heaven again. Now clearly this was a vision as verse 10:17 states but what was the vision ? Was it three seperate visions? What did Peter consume before he was given the animals from heaven and Gods blessing to consume them? Only fish and vegis? I dunno but I thought I might post this as a new topic to share with others and maybe get some insight and thoughts from others, great site, hope you enjoy.
Has nothing to do w/UFO's or anything else. It was a vision to show Peter that the Gentiles were ready for the Gospel and that Peter was not to call them "unclean" - for through the death and ressurection of Jesus - they were made clean. It was
not about 'UFO's' - 'aliens' or anything else. But that the Gospel was
not just for the Jews. Talk about no small out of context tangent.
