I thought some of it was kind of amusing. Sick and twisted, but amusing. Nothing to do with killing or anything but the whole thing with cottonballs and lighter fluid...

That wasn't disturbing at all.

omg i read about this guy on the crime library website. it doesn't get nearly as descriptive as this. those letters he wrote, especially the one about the boy, made me sick to my stomach. it's amazing how insane people can be. i can't fathom ever being in the mind to think it might be fun to do any of the things he did. wow. just wow.

A sick man yes I always enjoyed the story of how he shorted out the electric chair from the pins and needles he inserted into himself

-- Wow... what else can be said about this story???

I agree the letters were very disturbing, not so much because he described the murders, but because of the obvious pleasure he had in eating the children.

Human flesh is not on my menu, nor will I think it would ever be. It would have to be a very extreme case. I am a very honest person, if I was in the position (ie: the plane crash survivors) to do or die, I am not sure I could. I don't eat beef or pork, so I seriously think I would have issues with eating dead Fred...

There are many cultures where flesh eating is a ritual or way of life, fortunately, mine is not one of them.

His canabalism wasn't what bothered me, again, it was the obvious sexual pleasures he took from it.

Albert Fish was one interesting man, indeed. His letters were fun to read too. Lolllll.
RTK
Hmm.... I took a quiz one time on which famous murderer I would be and it came out as Albert Fish. Pity he never killed more...
Wolfox
Okay, Alber Fish is SO disturbing. Beatings gave him erections? That's just plain wrong...So very, very wrong

ASOP
KILL MORE! It sounds like you got issues why would you say that?! mad.gif wacko.gif
GnosticLady
If I were raised in an institution like that, I'd be a bit mental myself. What a way to go. Lots of abuse in the name of disapline in those days. The catholic church had theirs also.
REBEL
I never read the whole article but i've heard of this basket case before.

As screwed up and totally warped of mind as this dude was, you have to question how or what could have possibly driven him(psychologically)to go so completely insane as to of committed some of the worst and most horrendous crimes in history...

I wonder if his p/s psychiatrist came out of it intact or not at the end of it all? wacko.gif
Ghø§t
Pretty diabolic guy... His penis had like 12 needles in it when he was found dead!

OOOWWWWWWWWW
Mucker
I've just finished reading it and now lunch is ready -_-
Anyways this guy is a ****ing Artist... His letters sound like recipes ^^
iCe_princEss
This man had serious issues...what he did was pretty sickening blink.gif considering the fact that he took delight in eating children wacko.gif
Genocyde
Yes, I've heard of this guy before, he was without a doubt one of the most twisted, sick, individuals in the world. So glad they got rid of him.

Please, please, either restrain yourself from sayin things like that, or crawl back into your hole.
How can anyone seriously say that his letters were "fun to read"?

I'm sorry, I think that is extremely insensitive.

What the HELL? I thought they were fun because of how he seemed all in his normal state and still managed to write something like that.
Whatever, haha.
Mucker
I, too, found his letters to be a very pleasant read. Describing the mutilating and devouring of a child in a way one normally would talk about the process of preparing a meal is actually pretty hilarious.

I thought if you survived the electric chair once you get to live.

Wth his dad was 43 years older than his mom!
GreenFriend
It sounds odd but just as he had his "friend" who told him of the Human consumption in what at the time seemed like "savage" countries. He then became obsessed with killing and eating someone, just as his friend had acquired that strange taste.

It's really not uncommon, but mostly it's canine or exotic meat. It's still common in some parts of the world to snap a picture of a man chewing on a severed human leg, I'm sure I could find one online within minutes. I've seen pictures of Dead Baby Soup, which in my book is probably the most heinous thing you could do, but there are back alley restaurants in some countries and maybe even my own where entrées like this can be ordered quietly and without question.

This man was evil, sick and twisted. There is no excuse, other then those of desperation and necessity to resort to such an act (even then, *shudder*, but who knows how we would react in a situation we can't even imagine ourselves in.) It's just a shame that he paved the way for other modern cannibals. Cannibalism is a part of human history we can't deny, even as much as we would like too.

I just read the article and then ate dinner (pasta and chicken Mmmm) and i feel fine so the jokes on you.
I heard that they were nails that he hammered into his crotch and not needles.

I've read about many mass murderers and Albert Fish has long struck me as the single most irredeemably evil of that entire unholy gaggle. Only Peter Kurten ("The Vampire of Dusseldorf") and John Wayne ("Pogo the Clown") Gacy come even close. Two photographs of the younger Albert Fish, taken around 1900-1905 when he would have been in his early thirties, seem to radiate evil like a demonic lantern.

Interestingly, though, Fish was the descendant of one of the most respectable of all the older New England families, which has produced Governors and State and Federal legislators since the earliest days of the Republic. Fish's own grandfather, Bolton Fish, was a hero of the War of 1812, in which he gave his life.

Ah, Albert Fish. One of my favorite serial killers. Not because he killed a lot of people, but because his depraved insanity is actually quite fascinating. What drives a person into a psychosis like the one Fish must have had? How do you become so batsh!t insane that you murder, cook and eat a child, and yet manage to write a relatively "normal" letter about it?

As a Canadian I'm not shocked with the connection

I suspect Bolton would have been. Unlike his grandson he died in the honorable service of his country and he never ATE anybody.

That's by no means so uncommon as you seem to think. I ran into similar circumstances more than once in my own home town.

P. S. And, no, the offspring DIDN'T become cannibals!

Sincerely,

God, and people protest about locking up pedophiles for life... how, under any logical circumstances, can you be against the death penalty with things like this? Why do we pity ****ed-up individuals who can't contribute positively to society?

On a lighter note, people apparently taste like ham. So maybe eating them in a desperate situation wouldn't be so bad, though with our diets and lifestyle the quality of the meat would probably be horrendous.

True insanity does not affect amount of intelligence, only how it is used.
