Some of mine are:

Pink Floyd- Atom Heart Mother
Pink Floyd- Dark Side of the Moon
The Beatles- Sg. Pepper's
Norah Jones- Come Away With Me
Norah Jones- Not Too Late
Led Zeppelin- Coda
Led Zeppelin- House of the Holy
Radiohead- OK Computer
Muse- Black Holes and Revelations
Portishead- Dummy
Massive Attack- Mezzanine

There are a couple of more records but I'll name them later. What about you? wink2.gif
Affliction
Every album I own. I'll very rarely listen to a single song, as quite often songs sound better within the context of the album they are on.
glassvampire
Anything by the Smashing Pumpkins, I don't think they could write anything I wouldn't like!

One of my all time favorites is The Golden Age of Grotesque by Marilyn Manson, every song just crawls all over your face original.gif

Second Coming by Shotgun Messiah

And anything by Megadeth

they just speak to me...

ya know?

Celumnaz
Helloween's Keeper of the seven keys part 1 is one I usually wind up letting play straight thru
TooFarGone
Pink Floyd - Dark Side Of The Moon
Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here
Nick Drake - Pink Moon

That's about it really, as I mostly listen to my Mp3 player.

Jpalz, you have Dummy? I really want to get that album.
jpalz
Dummy? Yeah, I've got it in MP3.
Any search at a torrents site will lead you to it. For instance, Torrentspy.com. I can't give you a direct link because of the rules of the sites, but look and ye shall find yes.gif

I've remembered other great albums:
The Amelie soundtrack
Blade Runner soundtrack by Vangelis
Rage Against the Machine by RATM
Unplugged by Nirvana (I love their versions of "All Apologies" and "Jesus Don't Want Me for a Zombie")
Nevermind by Nirvana
Transformer by Lou Reed
Appetite for Destruction by Guns n Roses grin2.gif

Listening to "Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness" as I type this. LOL
And yes, GAoTG and Mechanical Animals are probably Manson's most complete albums. Whoops, forgot 'EAT ME, DRINK ME'. Been wearing that out for a month and the lyrics to 'Evidence' still make me bust out a wicked grin. devil.gif

EDITED because I noitced something. All that Pink Floyd and no one mentioned 'The Wall'. huh.gif

Pink Floyd- Dark Side of the Moon

Is there any other way to listen to that album?

I love albums that sorta fit together from beginning to end, Sgt Peppers, London Calling by the Clash, Blonde on Blonde and John Wesley Harding by Bob Dylan are a few examples and a few of my favourites.
Disinterested
Yeah, the concept albums are definitely the easiest to listen to from start to finish. It says a lot about an album when I can put it on without skipping songs - I'm always compulsively skipping tracks. This is especially bad in the car. tongue.gif

Hell yeah, NHN! Eat Me Dink Me has been all over me since I got it. And I swear that I can remember exactly where I was the first time I ever heard any Pumpkin song.

But I can't do Pink Floyd anymore, so done with that. The people I work with have control over the radio and they play classic rock all day long.

There was a time that I liked the Doors and Floyd and Zeppelin... yeesh. Maybe if I take a few years off, I don't know.

The Mule
ALL Pink Floyd Cd's
2112
The Eagles Desperado ALBUM...not just the song
Joe's Garage by Zappa
most Deep Purple cds
jpalz
I remembered another great album:
Nine Inch Nails- The Downward Spiral

Kinda hard to listen to it at the beggining, but it's really good thumbsup.gif
girty1600
Like Disintrested said, the concept albums and "Rock Operas" get a free ticket for this ride. Its almost shameful not to listen to these albums from begining to end. Other than those, there's one or two 311 records I'll listen to all the way through. Also Police: Greatest Hits, several Phish records, Bare Naked Ladies-Gordon, the first Guster album and some others when I have the time, which is never.

Yeah that stuff will wear on you for some reason. I dig out the Floyd and Zeppelin and just chill about one weekend a year. Same thing with getting hammered and watching "The Wall". LOL. I think that's the problem: you're at work and Zeppelin and Floyd are best listened when not in one's right mind. LOL

I know what you mean about "EAT ME, DRINK ME". Don't know if I would say it has been all over me, but it certainly has been weirdly appropriate for me. Newly single, rocking out to an album about seduction....
Heh heh heh. Was chilling with a girl the other night and "You and Me and The Devil Makes 3" popped in to my head. I busted out laughing before I could catch it. No harm, though. My explanation had unexpected consequences. devil.gif LOL Just another thing I have Manson's music to thank for.
I can't remember where I was when I heard every Pumpkins song for the first time, but I do have memories associated with nearly everyone of them. That seems to be their weird power: completely defining a moment.
'Zeitgeist' next Saturday! 07.07.07! Woohoo!

I love the Black Album, but for some reason my favorite is And Justice For All (followed closely by Master of Puppets) grin2.gif
when.i.am.queen.
Well, PROTEST THE HERO's full length, KEZIA, is one which I would always listen to from start to finish.

This is because it actually tells a story, rather than just a random jumble oth thoughts/words.

Its rather powerful stuff.

If you are into my scene in music, that is

Also, pretty much any album by COHEED AND CAMBRIA you need to listen to from start to finish to discover all the intricacies.
Also, if you listen to them in order, it also helps.

Ie SECOND STAGE TURBINE
IN KEEPING SECRETS OF THE SILENT EARTH
GOOD APOLLO: IM BURNING STAR IV

I suppose that they are a mixture of a concept album, and just plain old good rock.

Vespertine - Björk.

Ok, Well I have just got the new CHIODOS album a couple of days ago, and I think that I can safely say that it is one of those ones where I don't feel the need to skip a sinle song. Sure, some are better than others, but together, it comes of superbly. I would highly reccomend it to anyone.

oh, by the way the album is called THE BONE PALACE BALLET. If you are remotley interested; I say check it out.
Worth it.
