Many people whould argue the point that we live in a virtual reality (be it the matrix, brain in a jar, etc) but heres a twist in the tail.
Scientists are reasonably close to creating virtual reality on computers right? That means that (if we are already living in a virtual reality) a virtual universe will exist within a virtual universe. If this is true then it is possible that the virtual reality that we exist in was actually created within another virtual reality, which may be existing within another virtual reality! When does it end! Is are there infinate virtual realities?

confused yet?!
If there are infinate virtual realities, one within another, and we are simply a form of data then mathematically speaking there are alternate realities and we can be transported to those realities?
Although I have not explained my idea very well, any thaughts?
I was playing round with this theory in my head the other night, quite feasable really... If we are all made of data it would explain many problems such as:
forces: rules on the applications (policies)
dark matter: data in the storage that exists (therefore has is there, has mass etc) but has not yet been written to
blackhole: data being deleted (if deleted the its writing dark matter somewhere) or moved
everything you see would be data running within an application to form an object, which all effect each other (kinda like string theory)
ghosts: bugs in the code (deleted programs with bits and pieces missing)
time would be the system clock (not ur windows clock

)
freewill: userinput
another idea i toyed with is that we are applications organising the data for a user... although we live our "life" we may have an underlying purpose of organising things... what if every time you parked the car in your garage you were acutally just saving a document to the drive user had asked you to do
ofcorse any system you make urself like this can be easily fit reality as you can mould it... problem is if we are in something like this... there is no way we can ever solve the puzzle - we do what we are told to (but can make choices), we only know what are presented
Oh another thing that it solves is space being infanite, because from an application point of view their is always going to be more space becoming available to us, so it will seem infinite from our position when infact it is not... or it could be a network constantly being added to like the internet.
Do i believe this? no, can i deny its possible.. no... and it can not be prooven or disprooven.. TRY i bet there is an answer for everything if you look at it like this ... but not a satisfyin 1
