I am not sure how much this was reported nationally but I know it was to an extent. Around 6/14/07 Jessie Davis (9 mo pregnant) was reported missing from Canton, OH. Long story short, her body was found this past weekend on 6/23/07 . She was still carrying her unborn child. Her boyfriend was arrested on two counts of murder. She was taken from her house while her 2 year old son watched (boyfriend was the father of that child also). He said that "mommy was in the rug". Her bedroom quilt was missing and clorox was covering the floor.

My theory is the boyfriend (a canton police officer) killed Jessie in her house and then took her, wrapped in the blanket, to where he dumped her. If that is true then she was dumped most likely on 6/15/07 or 6/16/07. Where her body was dumped was in a section of the Cuyahoga Falls National park dubbed the "Top O' the World" (30-40 min away from her house, 10 min from mine). On 6/17/07 I was enroute to the Top O' the World to show my wife the area until our plans unexpectedly changed. I am glad they did because we might have found something we weren't their looking for.

When I heard she was found at the Top O' the World I was speechless. This is an area that can only be referred to as extremely haunted. There are 2 ways to get to this area. Either you can walk a 2 mi trail or (which most people don't know) there is a steep dirt/gravel drive which isn't advertised as an entrance that will take you right there.

If you go there now, all you will find is a field and an old barn but up until 2003 there was an old house directly across from the barn dating back to the early 1800's. That house, the barn, and the surrounding area are ripe with paranormal activity. I was lucky enough to get into the house once before it was destroyed and have a lot of friends that went as far as to stay the night in the house. I could go on and on with first and second hand accounts but I will just let the following links speak for themselves. I will do this mostly because in one of the following links all the stories I can tell are listed there as well. I think that is what freaks me out the most is that so many different people have the SAME stories to tell. It is kind of hard to pass happenings off as imagination when complete strangers will tell the same tale.

The murder of Jessie Davis is a tragic, horrific event that will not be forgotten. Is it coincidence that her body was left at the Top O' the World some 30 min away from her house? One thing is for sure, this will add fuel to the fire. The local kids have a new story to focus on now that the house is gone. Now when the legend of the Top O' the World is carried on, a new, tragic tale will be told as well. The story of Jessie Davis. I can only hope that her ghost won't haunt the area along with so many others.

http://www.ohiotrespassers.com/world.html <--- good page focusing more on the history as opposed to ghost stories. TON of pics (including the house before it was destroyed). This is where I got the pics that you can see above.

http://www.deadohio.com/StoriesEtc.htm#TOP%20O%20THE%20WORLD <--- Here you will find a lot of stories people sent in concerning their experiences at the Top O' the world. Many of the same things that happened to myself or my friends happened to these people and are recounted here.

http://www.hauntedcuyahoga.com/index2.htm <--- Link to a book that apparently has a chapter about the Top O' the World though I have not personally read it.

Thank you, I have followed this case from the onset. Yes her boyfriend killed her, but a female has also been arrested for now on "Obstruction of Justice" charge but I assume her charges will escalate as she helped HIM get rid of the poor girl's body, and left that little 2 year old baby alone for over 30 some odd hours. Coincidence? I would say yes. They knew the area, and found a place that was sort of isolated and not in the immediate area. If anyone haunts, I hope Jessie haunts both of them for the rest of their disgusting lives..I dont feel her residual energy will remain there, but possibly at her home where I feel he killed her. That is just my opinion..

Wow I was expecting more replies by now!

I stopped by the Top O' the World yesterday evening. There wasn't a lot of people there. A news team, a couple returning from hiking the trail, 3 park rangers, and myself. As you will see in the below pics, the driveway that goes around the Top O' the World is a one way dirt road and goes in the shape of a horseshoe. At the top of the shoe is where you park, where the house use to be, the barn, the entrance to the Metro trail, and a small field. Surrounding that is miles of wilderness. Take a look at this pic I put together for you...

Whoever dumped the body dumped it mearly 20 ft off the dirt road on the exit side. Directly across (inside the shoe) is where the house use to be and the tree that is being used as a memorial. Here is the riddle.... "whoever" killed and dumped poor Jessies' body was wise enough to clean up the crime scene. Whoever dumped her knew where they were going because there is no sign for the entrance to the Top O' the World and unless you are looking for it, you would drive right past (it is partially hidden). He/she/they took the body to this specific location which is surrounded by MILES of woods and they dumped the body 20 ft from the dirt road. Why?

The news is saying that whoever dumped the body either wanted it to be found or they paniced. If they had wanted the body to be found, they would not have drove 40 minutes out of the way to get rid of it. My theory is "whoever" dumped the body went to the Top O' the World with the intent of dumping the body deep into the wooded area but something scared them off, and they left the body basically out in the open. Now the question is, what scared off someone who just committed murder and drove 30 miles with the intentions of hiding a body where it would never be found? What indeed.....

Some pics I took last night. This tree stands directly next to where the house use to be. In the second pic, look towards the far back right. That is where the body was found.

WOW Poor Jessie. I think we "know" who killed her and where according to authorties, and who assisted in one way or another. I think when someone kills someone, they dont panic as to the killing, but that they will be caught, hence the bleach and "rug" etc..Strangers who kill just dump a body anywhere because they dont care, when its a loved one they tend to bury it in order to cover up their crime and bleach etc to "try" and hide any DNA evidence..He covered the "bodies" with dirt, and its believed Cutts himself led them to the area, or her cell phone. Its probably too sad for people to reply sad.gif

For being a police officer, he wasn't that smart with the crime, which I am glad about since they caught him. And how could you leave your poor baby boy all alone like that? The guy is wacko. The poor girl, how horrible to not only know that he was killing you, but the unborn baby inside of her, too. Sick, sick world.

Thanks for all the picks, TIMMAH, let's hope a benevolent spirit followed him back and wreaks havoc on his life.

I've been following this as well and am sickened by it. Albeit this is "para" or "ab"normal behavior on the part of her boyfriend, and my heart and prayers go out to the families...
Did someone see a ghost of her or her baby or something? After all this is the ghost and paranormal forum.

The EVP'S were unintelligible.
Fluffybunny
I am going to move this to a more appropriate area...
TIMMAH
I dont really agree with moving the thread to this forum. If you look at my original post it was referencing that Jessie was found there but focused more on how the area was haunted.

My second post in the thread was meant to imply that whatever haunts the area is what most likely scared of the killer causing him to leave the body where any hiker would undoubtly discover it within days...

I posted a pic that I took on TV when her sister and Greta were in Jessie's home, and got a what appears to be a blue anomaly, or moving orb. What EVPS did you hear on this case?

His behavior, other women, and his sociopathic nature reminds me SO much of Scott Peterson. He still to this day claims he was framed. I hope Laci & Jessie DO come back to make their pathetic lives miserable till they die of fear like their women..I have zero tolerance as do most, of violence against women, but as much as this is publicized every day, it continues to escalate..I want to understand, but no one who is a rational human being could possibly do that in any of these cases. No one ever said all police officers are smart, some are just like any other maniac only use their power at home as opposed to, on the streets. I heard tonight he hooked up with a married lady at the bar that night before he went to Jessie's, and called her at 2:00AM..OMG..What a madman!!! devil.gif

It's quite scary. And to kill his own baby? I don't understand that. Obviously he had no repect for any of his children, killing one who was about to be born, leaving his two year old alone to be found, or did he hope the little boy would die too?

Who knows, it is so unbelievable to me how SO many men do this? The number one cause of death in pregnant women is homicide, that is so horrific. I believe that Cutts and his accomplice should both be charged with other crimes, plus "child endangerment." It was said once it goes to the grand jury, they are pretty sure more charges will be filed. I agree that leaving that poor little 2 yr old alone for 30 some odd hours, that child COULD have died, or wandered out the door, or been abducted, as the possibilities are endless..What a POS he is, and shame on that so called female for not calling 911 instead of helping him, regardless to the degree of her involvement. SHE has alot to lose and I bet she sings like a canary..My heart goes out to her family..OMG..

According to what I just read on CNN, he was accused of abusing his oldest daughter and her younger brother who is not any relations to him. And the step-mom sasy he isn't a bad person, really. So, what is a murderer? Just misunderstood? Come on, that's exactly why he is the way he is, obviously he was coddled at home and could do no wrong.

Not a bad person? Okie dokie. What I found sickening was after the arraignments, HIS family said "what right does Jessie's family have to sit in the front while we sit in the back?" Another Uncle said "what kind of woman has two illegitimate children by a married man?" I am paraphrasing, but OMG looks like the apple didnt fall far from the tree..It was the same with Scott Peterson, he could not even walk till he was over 2 years old because everyone carried him, seems they still do..MONSTERS..!!

Not trying to defend the guy, please don't think that. But he has yet to be convicted of the murders. He has been convicted of abusing his dughter and one other domestic violence charge ( read it in one of the articles) That alone makes the man an animal. And I really don't understnad a woman that knows someone has done things like that being with him and having children by the sicko. It really boggles my mind how people act. I guess he must have been a real charmer to have gotten her in the first place, let a lone his job as police officer after that kind of past.
