Some say there is no mention of the United States in the Bible.
I have found it twice, and New York city once.
In the book of Daniel, there is a beast with the shape of a lion,
and the wings of an eagle. The symbol of Great Brition is the lion,
and of course the US is the eagle. The US came out of Great Brition,
so out of the lion, springs forth the eagle's wings. But notice something happens
to the eagle. "I watched as its wings were plucked".
In the Book OF Revelation John was shown the future. He is shown a great, rich
powerful nation he called,Mystery Babylon. But there is something wrong with Mystery
Babylon. She is full of pride, and her sins have reached into heaven.
When I grew up in the 60's and 70's all I seemed to hear was the United States of America
is the greatest, most powerful , rich nation on earth. Hear is what God has to say.
"For so much have you glorified yourself, and said in your heart, I sit a queen and
see no sorrow, and I will bring your destruction, and the merchants of the earth will
weep and howl, when they see your burning and the smoke of your burning".
I read that 65% of all of our products are imported now.

There is a woman riding on a beast drinking from a cup filled with filth
and abominations. The beast has ten horns, which are ten nations that will give
their power to the beast. Other words they work in unison to acheive one goal.
The woman is that great city, that all the kings of the earth have comitted
fornication with, and rules over the kings of the earth. The united nations is in
New York, stock exchange ect. The ten horns or ten nations will hate the woman
and make her desolate, for God has put it in their hearts to do his will.
When the people of Isreal disobeyed God, he allowed other nations to attack and win.
Truly Mystery Babylon is the united states of America and her derstruction is
on the horizon.

So is this supposed to be a prophecy? I am confused, please enlighten me to the purpose of your post.

America has come under God's judgement, because of her pride and sinfulness.
I listened to a terriorest expert the other day say there were terriorest in the US just
waiting to set off nuclear weapons. We need to be repenting and praying like crazy.

Believe me if there were terrorists "in America, just waiting to set off nuclear weapons", we would have been radioactive ash long ago. Care to identify this "terrorist expert"? Care to identify the boy that made the prophecy in 2001? Sounds like just another scare tactic from the "woo woo" area of organized religion to me. Just my opinion, but you really need to get a life and quit obsessing on such dreary and imaginary subjects.

Consider that there could very well be terrorist cells throughout this country. In fact our National security is being compromised at the border and port level, by our own President, while we the people can't even fly with a bottle of mouth wash in our carry on. Also consider, next time your out, how many Arabs and Hindu own such places. Since this Administration initiated racial profiling right after 911 and to this day people look askance at any middle eastern people set to board an aircraft, what would happen if a synchronous plan unfolded, detonating those petroleum tanks that are installed at most gas stations, or even the gas supply itself!? Gas isn't flammable, it's the fumes that explode. So while nuclear weapons may be a long shot, this Nation is filled with potential incendiary devices throughout and their all situated near travel arteries and of course our commerce centers and housing areas.

So that stands to be a very real possibility, that the Fed is also well aware of after the WV incident.
As for the rest, I too would like to know the source for the OP. Considering people have been interpreting Nostradamus forever, as it relates to our past history and even the bible codex, that always happens to hold prophecy, after the fact, it seems. So finding what was prophesied, after it happened isn't really that impressive.

Furthermore, if there are nukes, etc... as the OP alleges and we should be praying like crazy, let me ask you this. Of all the prayers that rang to heaven since 911, wheres the evidence god was even listening before 911?! And as some have said, peoples "sin" have put a barrier between themselves and god, so if this country is one big cesspool of sin and arrogance, what makes you think god even listens at all, if that barrier between us shuts out his awareness of our condition, already!?

If anything happens in this country, again, god let it happen! Again! All part of the plan, because he's god and he can do what he damn well pleases, right!?

Or, maybe, just maybe, we're what makes this world go round. And there's nothing listening to our prayers, so that answers why they go unanswered. If we want to be saved, we need to save ourselves, by coming to the realization that killing one another never solves anything, but the necessity to keep on living as we are, thinking violence , materialism, capitalism and the arrogance of exclusivist faith, is civilized.

I like your name. The lord said that if he did not shorten the days no flesh could be saved. Only now do we
have the means to destroy all life on planet earth. I don't understand the lord sometimes, why he does things
the way he does things. I often wonder why he allowed me to suffer for years growing up with a violent
alcoholic father and insane mother and not stepping in and stopping it. Maybe through suffering we learn
humility. Maybe one day he will give the answeres.

Humph! It is not like the European Union is a bunch of God fearing born-agains. If the end is near then I welcome it, as all the rightous and faithful will be rewarded. It is a shame that if the US goes down it will not be alone, it will likely be in a world frying blazing flame.

A lion and an eagle are the national animal of Armenia.

A golden eagle is the national animal of Mexico.

A lion is the national animal of Belgium, Bulgaria and the Netherlands.

And it goes on and on. There is lots of ways to interpret those passages.

Jesus tells his followers he would be back during thier lifetime.

Matthew 10:23 also has Jesus telling his disciples that the second coming will occur before the disciples finish preaching in Israel: "When they persecute you in one town, flee to another. I think he was saying the generation who witnesses these events....that is the generation of which these events happen to.
