Apollo 20 was a cancelled mission the only Apollo missions after 17 were Skylab and ASTP in low Earth orbit

Sigh - there was NO Apollo 20. Apollo 17 was it. There was no 18, 19 or 20. Simply didn't happen, the money was not there and thus the Apollo program was cancelled. I wish people would learn to not believe the crap on YouTube and actually do some basic research and Critical Analytical Reasoning Skills.

If one was to actually take a bit of time and pre-view the prior Apollo 11, 12, 14, 15, 16 & 17 they would find that this is nothing more than a 'cut/paste' job from these missions. This is why the voices are void in the video - they couldn't hide the real voices from the above missions. Yes I actually did do this, this is why I can say this.

There was another video.

The dialogue was a melange of different fabricated stuff. Vandenburg didn't have facilities to launch a Saturn rocket. In 1976, we were doing the ASTP mission, which featured Alexei Leonov aboard the Soviet spacecraft (and there was only ever one Leonov as a Cosmonaut...take a look, the name LEONOV is listed on the fake Apollo 20 mission patch).

That was a Saturn V, which had been retired by 1976.


A Space Shuttle was not involved. The Shuttle was still 5 years from flying in 1976.

If it was a secret mission then we know you can't hide a rocket launch, it's visable for about a 200 mile radius at ground level, we'd have to assume that all other countries are in on the conspiracy too, otherwise they'd say they detected the launch.

I don't know if this is common practice or not but I thought it was a little suspicious that there is an Apollo 20 sticker in the view. It is like they are saying "see this is a real mission." My two cents. And with you guys saying there was no mission makes me feel good about noticing that and that it was a hoax.

I did, dude -- this is NOT the first time this video has come up on UM. In fact I can safely say that since the first of this year 2007, this has to be the 4-6th time this thread has been started and dialoged. Always ending with NO question mark: B O G U S!

So you wanna talk about 'homework' - UM has a wonderful search feature: You should of looked up: Apollo 20. You would have already seen why this video is full of so many flaws. Back in one of the first couple of threads - I actually went back through the Apollo archives and found where most of the 'cut-n-pastes' came from. From Apollo 11 - 17.

Plus since I was alive during this era, I remember when Apollo 17 ended and the reasons it was stopped. Congress cut their budget so the rest of the Apollo program were dropped. Anyone who has any knowledge of this, knows this.

Plus also notice that the audio is blanked out. There is a reason for this - they HAD to cover up the actual audio so it would be busted right then and there.

No - this video is 100% fake, in that it's NOT Apollo 20. The 'artifiact' is computer generated, this too has not been a question even with most believers.

Those that actually have working and living knowledge of this are ashamed of this video seriously screwing up crediblity in this field.

EDITED: I would also suggest you start reading the first of the thread that Waspie merged this with - the who dialog of the most recent thread on this has been merged. It should make for some great education.

In the real photos from NASA, there is something there, but for me, its probablya boulder, big rock, or some rocky feature in the moon, nothing more than this. Then, someone very skilled with graphical software made a very good composition with some possible real videos and 3D modeling.

I think that people with such talent to creat this iamges should go look for a real job instead of waste time on creating this HOAXES that in the end, do nothing more than take away the credibility of some few "real" ufo reports.

It's not the moonshot that has my interest from that story...The pictures in question are from NASA (LNI - Lunar and Planetary Institue), not from the supposed Apollo 20 mission...and I am still waiting for an explaination from someone who might know...what is it? Everything around this thing on the surface of the moon is smooth; this thing has sharp points (nothing else on the moon has this), and the right hand side appears elevated off the surface . A cigar shaped one mile long meteor that somehow landed entact? It looks like a round toothpick pointed at both sides...If these are faked pics from NASA, they are really very, very good. What ever it is...it's big. I guess this is what stands out to me about this story, although it is not related to the Apollo 20 moonshot lol

Yes, the Soviets and Americans did go on a joint mission, the Apollo-Soyuz Test Project, launched in the summer of 1975 (no maybes about it). It was an Earth orbital mission, featuring a great amount of symbolism, some scientific experiments and observations, and an obvious test of the Soviet / US docking apparatus, which was designed to provide information concerning the syncronization of the two country's technologies (which was very useful later on during the Shuttle / Mir missions).

The Soviets left from Baikonur on July 15, 1976, aboard Soyuz 19, and the Americans left from KSC, per the norm, about 7 hours later. The mission had nothing to do with the Moon, and was incapable of lunar travel. It was Earth orbital.

That was the final Apollo hardware flight.
