There have to be plenty of people as excited for this movie as I am. It opens tomorow...actually, some theaters were doing midnight showings tonight, but I couldn't make it tonight. But this movie has gotten some extremely good reviews, and it looks to be absolutely packed with action.
Of course....EVERYONE is angry with the unnecessary PG-13 rating. I'm sorry, but watered-down PG-13 Die Hard is not the way to go. The original trilogy was full of profanity and brutal violence....that's what Die Hard was all about. But FOX thinks that all the little kids want to go see this over the summer, so they back off of the essential DH qualities. Despite that, this movie still looks amazing, and I'll be there tomorrow afternoon watching McClain kick a LOT of ass. Besides, I'm sure the DVD will be Unrated, and for a good reason.
Sorry if this topic already exists. I didn't see one anywhere.

Acually from early reviews i've read it's a fair movie better than the third although the rating hinders it in terms of bloody violent deaths, the amount of people dying and explosions and suchs are all there... i really hope from what i've read this movie will turn out above average Yippie kay Yay

ya it looks good... but i'm one of those people that thinks the cuss words & violence make the movie!! unless its a really funny movie like a cary grant one or ICEAGE!!! What really gets me is when they rate a movie like pg 13 or so and theres a lot of sex in it im like what!! id rather see killing & gore!
i wish i had the money to go see a movie...

I think the violence is still there as long as its not gory and extremely graphic which Die Hard never really was I thought the violence was tame in the original trilogy. But after watching the trailers it looks like they turned the violence and action up a notch cause damn a police car flying in the air and hitting a helicopter. What usually gives the movie its R rating was the profanity and crude humor by McClane.

I just got back from seeing it. WOW was it awesome. There is tons of great action. The story is pretty solid, and the movie never slows down a bit. You could tell where there was some language edited out, and some parts definately would have been bloodier had it been rated R. But it didn't hinder the experience of the movie. Everyone should go see this now.
