Hello!
While I was in high school a Drama class (That I was not in) tried to do the "Light as a Feather Stiff as a Boad" trick.
(For those of you not familiar with this, it's when you put 2 fingers from each hand underneath someone who is laying down while chanting lightasafeatherstiffasaboard and they are supposed to levitate)
Anyhow, everyone was super stoked about the experiment in class and was raving on and on about it.
So a couple of my friends and I (Bruce, Beth, Katie and Myself) decided to try it.
So we went into my bedroom and grabbed a chair from the dining room. (Instead of laying down, the class used a chair for the person being lifted to sit on)
So first we tried the lightest person (Myself) Everyone put two fingers underneath me and thought really hard about me being light and whatnot. They probably got me a foot off the chair before I flipped out haha.
And then we tried doing the trick with Bruce, who at the time wieghed probably 230 pounds. And he got lifted probably 2 feet in the air.
It was really trippy, there has to be some sort of logical explanation for this, especially having the school experiment with it in class.
Have any of you tried this?

Yes, I've done that. We were all little kids and we lifted our uncle, who was a big man, well over 200lbs. It was relaly cool, since we were so tough tolift our uncle, LOL. It has to be that everyone is sure that it will work. The concentrated energies is the only answer I can think of.

yea ive done that before to, it really cool i lifted my dad which was like 200pounds. Exept we used a different method, maybe this helps for the people that wont work for them. First we get a chair and coose a volunteer and get for other people. Then the person on the chair thinks thats hes flying or reaching up to the sky. Also the volunteers also think the same thing then you count from 1-10, when you reach 10 immedlitly the volunteers put two fingers underneath the knee and underneath the amr pits and lift. Its a awesome experience good luck grin2.gif

Please ignore my bad grammer im very sleepy sleepy sleepy.gif

Yea, we used the chair as well.

I have never tried this, I have wondered how it works though. Quite a few people have tried it and succeeded - I wonder what it feels like for the person being lifted?

Lost Souls
i saw some on youtube by the way.. they dont levitate they just become light as a feather i guess.. lol ! but i dint think they were intresting enough to even put links on here i thought they were kinda boring, but thats just me.
Psych!
So you chant " Light as a feather stiff as a board" and the person levitates. Sounds like a bunch of BS to me. I have heard of people using telekenesis on paper after training for their entire life, but I never heard of a bunch of people standing around in their wizard outfits chanting some evil spell. no.gif

I remember the "light as a feather stiff as a board" craze - happened back when The Craft came out, everybody wanted to be a witch. I tried it a few times with my friends but it never worked, someone always started laughing after awhile.

My friends and I tried it lots of times.. now and then we'd get it to work, more often than not.. the one being lifted wouldn't stay still or would crack up and break our concentration.
