I've been set on learning at least one other language besides English for some time now, and after watching a couple of German movies (Princess and the Warrior, Run Lola Run) that I absolutely loved, I decided I'd learn German first, so I can rent a bunch more German films and not have to caption it to understand 'em! I've also decided that I want to visit Germany someday.

I'm making good progress now (learning the language), but I was hoping anyone on here from Germany (whether you live there still or not) could give me some tips on stuff like social etiquette, who the biggest movie stars are (I hear Franka Potente is pretty big), what football teams are the most popular, or anything else you can think of!
