Truth, the eyes of truth break forth from the skies of deliverance.
One day when the night spoke as a whisper into ear of the sun,
It breathed a warning, only one warning, to think of the importance,
The necessity, of the rising moon, for what else could possibly be seen when the day is done?
Child, sweet child, eyes of light from the stars, dances one morning.
In the morning fog, in the grass covered with dew
She dances, white like an angel glowing through the mist of mourning
Upon the frozen feelings, upon the tears of the grass, dances in circles right in front of you.
Space and time seems to freeze when the light of life goes out.
Lying alone, staring at the ceiling's lines zigging and zagging across
The man feels a pressure in his chest and a moment of doubt,
And then the darkness consumes him, his family consumed just the same by their loss.
Our eyes that see everything see more when they are truly open and alert.
The woman that stares at the sky, her eyes a more radiant blue,
The man who traces his eyes around the hem of her skirt,
As she stares, as he stares, the onlooker opens their eyes and sees love, sees its very color, its very hue.

Came back to read it again. I can't believe you are only 14. What a talent you have.

Thank you, a lot of people say the same thing. They denote I have maturity and intelligence more than the standard maturity and intelligence 14-year-olds usually harbor. I really have to thank my mother for being very articulate and passing that on to me. Though a lot of the work I did myself, having a passion for writing. I believe I have potential, though I have a long road of hard work ahead of me. And also, age does not really matter to me at times, I wish I had the opportunities others had, when I am 15 I will be old enough for a work permit, I really need to make money because I need a new computer. This one only has 190 MB of RAM, the minimum for a decent PC is 512 MB, so you can understand my reluctance to be owner of this PC for very much longer. I don't really want to drive when I am 16, it is not a desired thing. I want to learn but I would rather have my mother's approval to take the bus to school instead of driving. Age does not reduce my intelligence I don't believe, merely reduces my opportunities at the moment.

I like your poem a lot, but I'm a little bit confused because your writing style in the poem is quite smooth and fluid but you post like...well, like you have a 2x4 stuck up your rear end.

Just relax and have fun, we don't bite and we respect your intelligence without you having to show it off. Maybe I'm wrong, but it seems like that's what you were trying to do.
UM attracts a lot of smart cookies, so we generally respect newcomers unless they prove themselves to be stupid.
Keep up the poetry though, I'd love to see more.
