As we all know, bigfoot is a gorilla like creature that lives in forest as bears.

Now, lets say we breed a bear and gorilla, and say we get a kind of bigfoot.
Then, we can do this more, making the legend real.

Plausible?
Possible?
Or a load of pure crap?

So far thats all Bigfoot is, a legend...And first it would have to be caught.... rolleyes.gif

A load of crap.

Humans are gorillas are related, but cannot interbreed. It would be just as impossible for a bear and a gorilla to interbreed.
FTW
I remember seeing a show where they got an elephant and a pot bellied pig to breed but it didnt work laugh.gif
AstroForce
Impossible , All gorillas subspecies have 48 chromosomes, most bears 74 thus they cannot interbreed correct me if I am wrong but that is what I was taught a while back in Biology class. The number of chromosomes have to match to be able to breed since the panda has less chromosomes than a regular bear they cannot breed. yes it is confusing but thats how things work

What's the point, anyway? What the hell would we do with a bunch of Bigfoot fetuses anyway? unsure.gif

Don't you get it, nikk? The Bigfoot Wars have begun...we need soldiers. Seriously, you've got to read the tabloids more often!

LMAO Misread the topic title as "Breeding barefoot".
Got me all excited for nothing. LOL.
But to the bear and gorilla idea, uh, only on the island of Dr. Moreau or with some fancy gene splicing. Straight breeding is pretty much out of the question, as everyone has said.

It shouldn't be too hard to breed a bigfoot.
First, capture a Bigfoot. (Okay, a little difficulty here)
Secondly, capture a lawyer. Lawyers are not human, having relinquished their claim to humanity during law school, so perhaps their chromosomes will do the Horizontal Bop with Bigfoot chromosomes.
EVen if Bigfoot rejects the lawyer, and pounds him or her to a bloody pulp, what have we lost?
Okay, we've needlessly aggravated a Bigfoot but I think even PETA would turn a blind eye as long as there were one lawyer less in the world.

If other animals can't interbreed, what makes you think bigfoots can?

Could you do something fancy in a lab to combine their DNA like in Species ( great film) ?

There are some guys I work with, you would SWEAR that he IS related to big-foot, and another who looks like he could have descended from a bear. We call him Pooh-Bear....he doesn't like it....

There are also people where I work who, if you met them, would leave you beleiving that aliens ARE breeding with humans....This is just the tip of the iceberg.....

Hmmmmmmmm. Me thinks someone has a foot fetish.

Speaking of breeding bigfoot, does anyone remember the cookout routine Eddie Murphy had on RAW. "Your wife's a bigfoot isn't she, Gus. You shaved down a bigfoot and married the b*tch." Freakin hilarious.
