Well he is a talented writer. He can't just shut that off.

And hell, they're good entertainment and a very nice break from the people that post stuff in text talk.

Yes, a very good one.

I agree with you Ethel. Just because someone can remember and has a gift at writing and story telling doesn't mean that the story isn't true. Besides Iron has mentioned in past posts that he usually has someone writing down what is being spelled out by the board. If after an experience he would go back and fill in the missing portion, such as mood, setting, dialog from others it's no different than a journalist taking quick notes and filling in later.

I really like Iron Ghost's entries. They are well written and capture the mood of his and those of his friends experiences.

what really freaks me out about his Irons' posts is when I print them in simple txt format (for later reading) its seems like they are exactly 6 pages long every time ...B

A ouija board works as well as the material its made out of. The cleaner and less friction between the parts, the smoother it will operate. Slick paper and a slick traveller like a CD (maybe waxed) would work better than a velcro board. Interesting story but ... pretty outlandish, possible future in bad hollywood movie screenoplays though. =)

Am I the only one who thinks Ouija boards and their believers/users are down right silly? I'm not saying there are no spirits, entities, dimensions, or whatever Ouija boards are "connecting" to, just that the premiss behind such an object is border line retarded.

Think about it, how is a cardboard panel with screen printed lettering going to allow a "rift" or "connection" to another dimension and or spirit? If such a simple object can perform that kind of proposed connection, then why can't I write letters on my breakfast toast and have it achieve similar results?

And what about the mysterious other end of the board? Are Ouija believers really implying such spirits or entities from another dimension can connect and communicate to you, of all things, THROUGH CARDBOARD? rather then just go, "Hey, I'm a spirit from another dimension, hows it going."

You would think if they could jump across dimensions and utilize an Ouija boards to communicate, then why not a phone? Or any other convenient object or device, or shall I even say a person.

I'm not directing this towards anyone, just sharing my view points on the subject. People believe in some ridiculous stuff, and some want it to be true so badly they're willing to neglect reality and logic to achieve it.

Hi everybody! This is my firs post. I understand english verry well but my writing is a little bad, so if u find any mistakes i'm sorry blush.gif
I don't know much about the ouija boards, 'cause in my country doesn't exist. But the reason why i've registerd here is 'cause of iron ghost storys. I really love them, and i think that they are true.
And i have a question, this ouija board is only working in America???
And for iron ghost: Please post another one of your ouija sessions, i find them verry interesting.
Thank you! grin2.gif

Simple...you ask a question, your finger will answer it.
But don't talk to them via the phone line, it will make you retarded.

Minus the difference in materials, how would a cardboard panel differ from a phone line in this situation? Both are simply inanimate objects.

I just find it humorous such an unusual and biased (as in a lot of cases the user is producing the results themselves, consciously or not) method is used or accepted for such beliefs.

The boards are simply a tool for people with pre existing abilities....it is a focal point (if you will) like a hypnotist using a watch on a chain etc. .....now as someone else stated earlier in the thread, the boards can be imbued with a "bad charge" over time (imho)....B

Of course it does sound silly, because it is simply a toy, but in reality it isn't. Any "tool" used to open the communication between humans, and the spiritual world can cause strange and sometimes dangerous events surrounding the use. When we summons spirits whether it's consciously, or using a Ouija, Tarot Cards, or other means, it has been proven to be a gateway to the unexplained phenomena that follows. They are all linked to the "occult." Logic goes right out the window when dealing with the paranormal, most of us are well aware of that...Even home made Ouijas out of paper and a glass cup can induce the same effect, if the players are open enough to actually conjure something up. I believe, that spirits are all around us and will connect to us, when they choose or when asked to pop in, and give us messages, which can sometimes come with a price..JN

I have lots of activity in my home, and the thing I have here does talk on the phone when I am on it, yet others can hear it, and I cannot. So they can communicate via tools, water, phones and eletricity...JN

It is very common on cell phones, to be hearing other conversations and voices. I happen to use a land line, and there should never be interference, plus I have Verizon DSL Fios, so it should be clear as a bell, but the same voice speaks before, after and during my speaking and many ask "who is there with you?" At the time I am alone, with TV on mute. I also hear it out of my pc speakers, my fan, radio and sort of all over the place. Lucky me.. passifier.gif

Well after scrolling through the 26 pages to the end, I have a suggestion...

It seems as if IronGhost has quite the following and the original thread has been hi-jacked, twisted, shoved in a salad-spinner.

Perhaps, IronGhost can make his own thread, with his many 'conversations with the unseen'... I am sure it will be a most active thread.

Who?
QUOTE(_OuijaBoy_ @ Jun 30 2007, 04:46 AM) *
Hi people. Alrighty this is going to be a strange request and all but would it be possible for someone to
possibly ask these questions for me the next time they use an Ouija board?

Firstly it would be deemed important that if someone decides to ask these for me, that possibly
they have a regular spirit who them have come to trust and know somewhat. Of course being experienced
with the board is always important.

The reason I ask is I'd like some feedback from another spirit via another persons Seance to compare
to answers I recently got from my little sisters Seance not so long ago. I would like to see how the
answers compare and differ.Of course I realize answers from Ouija are never to be taken as gospel but
If anyone could indeed ask these q's on there next Ouija board Seance
i'd be very greatful.

The questions: Does god Exist?
Is there a soul?
Is time travel possible?
Are there other dimensions?

Please reply to this to say if you could do this for me and explain when you would be having your next
Seance.

If an ouiji board does say God exists, then in the bible it says to destroy all witches and "magical" items. So that would mean your asking a demon if god exists. And if it says God exists, then that should answer the second question, there is a soul because if god exists(assuming you mean the god of christianity) then there is a soul.

After several nights reading through this 27 paged thread I have finally been caught up with all the IronGhost stories. IronGhost, I must say, your stories are fascinating and a wonderful read. You are a brilliant writer. And you say you have 30 years of documented sessions? You need to write a book!

I am a little confused though. How long have these sessions lasted? On an Ouiji board the communication is spelled out letter-by-letter. You and your friends must have spent 5,6, or maybe 7 hours on a single session. Would you say that is accurate?

I look forward to reading your next entry!

Thank you so much, stormgasm, for your kind words, whether I am worthyof them or not. Also, let me take a special opportunity to welcome first-time poster cece samy to UM -- how's the weather in Morocco, my friend?

Let me just say, and perhaps to those of you who are young writers, one must always take words of praise for one's writing very carefully. For every person who dubs your work brilliant, another will always come along to call you "a pathetic hack." Among the comments of my many columns here at UM, I have had several people tell me things like, "I'm sorry, you'll never make it as a writer."

Thus the lesson: If you are willing to take it to heart when someone calls you brilliant, then you must also take it to heart when someone calls you a "a worthless hack."

But enough of the lecture.

You're right, stormgasm, I have not 30 but 40 years of documented sessions. I have perhaps more than 2 millions words of session data. When you consider that an average book or novel is about 80,000 to 100,000 words, that means I have enough material for perhaps 10 books in Ouija stuff alone, although not every word fit for publication.

Indeed, my agent has already caught wind of what I was doing here ar UM, and he is very nervous about it. Like stormgasm, he tell me: "Write a book!"

But, anyway, I want to share at least one more story with you before I decide to change course, as some here have suggested I do. Some say I have "taken over the thead" which was not my intent -- I just wanted to share a few stories with you all -- but I think I owe everyone at least one more "MOMMY IN THE NOTHING CHAMBER" session, which I will try to post later tonight.

After that, well see. Perhaps I'll start on the book (although finding the time will be hard!) -- but I'll also probably share more stories in my column, which you can all find on the Main Page.

But at least one more story coming right here for all my friends ....

Edit P.S.: I wonder what happened to OuijaBoy? After all, he started this thread. Oh Well.
Mabon
Food for thought about writing, if you going to try to make it as a writer you've got to be thick skinned (to take criticism) and humble when it comes to praise.
But on the high-jacking the thread, I wouldn't say that some times it's a good thing if a thread expands beyond the scope of the original idea, concept of the post and I think this is staying on topic. It's about experiences with a Ouija board.

Regards,
Mabon.
