Brave woman indeed. I watched that video and realized, if the radicals could get hold of her, they'd cut her head off for daring to say it. But that she dares to, will maybe help to inspire one oppressed muslim woman, to free herself from a perverse corrupt value system, the likes of which Ghada Jamshir, speaks. Stay strong sister! As long as you have a voice, you are free.

World needs more women like these.

Women all over this planet suffer unjustly in the name of religion. Religion is sometimes misused as a tool to perpertrate sex crimes.

Thousands of christian women and girls are raped and defiled yearly. Maybe next time she will speak on behalf of christian women to break free.

Many people speak their minds, many people do not, however, not many would speak their minds if it would possibly put them in danger.

This woman really is an inspiration, may she keep safe.

The irony here is this: The very same people who accuse her of heresy, thus labeling her a deviant, are themselves deviants (in light of the issues she mentioned). Hypocrisy lives!

What she is doing, or attempting to do, is highly courageous. I hope she lives long enough to realize at least a few of her goals. That she has become a target for religious (and cultural) fanatics seems clear enough, unfortunately.

Challenging the norm, as well as challenging others' realities, always brings with it certain consequences...but these are things that cannot be allowed to stop someone working toward the betterment of humanity. Would we ever make progress were we all to give in to the pressures around us?

I say challenge the norm, speak your convictions even if they oppose the views of the majority, and inspire others by being fearless even in the face of ridicule and danger. Sometimes, one simply cannot be any subtler than a battering ram...:-)

I think it would have a bigger impact if christian women spoke from their personal faith as christians. This woman is muslim. So her words, speak strongest because she dares to speak against the corruption of her faith by those that would debase baby girls and young women. It means more if one speaks from their experience, to those that are in it. As such one becomes a role model, that proves one can escape the brainwashing as a muslim , or as a christian, and speak against abuse perpetuated in the name of the faith they know personally, to be something more than what is being made to destroy, instead of heal a people.
