Alright, so my sis wakes up and tells me her computer wont turn on. We tried checking if the the power strip wasnt working, but it's fine. We tried switching plugs, but the plugs are fine. So I'm guessing it's just the power supply unit or its cable, since everything else that's using the same power strip doesnt work. What do you guys think?

If you're getting nothing, no fans kicking on or anything, there's a very good chance it's the power supply. Sometimes a device will go bad and it won't turn on, usually the dial-up modem, so if it has one yank that sucker out and see if it starts up. But there's a good chance you're first guess was right. Hopefully it didn't take anything with it when it died.

Power cables don't go bad very often but if there was a desk sitting on it or if it has noticable burns or kinks, it's a good possibility.

Good luck!!

Stupid idea but did you guys check in the back to see if the on switch wasn't knocked to off? That happened to me on my old computer when it bumped against the wall.
