I wish Girls had better sense of charachter . Not to say all girls have bad sense of charachter , but a lot do . Also the same for guys , some of us are pretty out of it as well .

People need to start realizing that getting a highly sexually attractive boyfreind/girlfreind isn't necesarily a good thing . Too many people begin relationships based on looks and end up wondering why it didn't work out , then they blame the opposite sex for all their problems and go around saying :

in a girls case
"Men are scumbags and their all alike ! I can't believe I ever trusted one !"

or in a guys case
"All those women are liers ! Each a bloodsucking money wasting feind!" .

It just doesn't work that way . FInd someone you truly love and stick with em , not someone you can show off to your freinds and drool over .

another reason why Moe is grateful to be out of the dating scene. I married my best friend in the whole world. I think thats the key , right there. wink2.gif

Let's all try to look at this with some education. First off, the man placing the gun in the rectum of the woman is not a sexual act. It is rather about control and violence. The article did not say that the man/offender was trying to rape the woman/victim. If it had been about rape, it still would not be about a sexual act but rather the control of another.

Clearly there is information that we do not have. Understanding for anyone of us without that firsthand knowledge is going to be difficult.

We should be asking questions like: Had the man been arrested before for domestic violence? Had the man been convicted of past violent crimes?

We should not be blaming the victim and asking her to have been a better judge of character. We should be condemning the man's actions.

We should acknowledge that anyone of us could find ourselves in a similar predicament. If not ourselves than someone we know. How do we prevent this behavior for both the offender and the victim? Through education, self awareness and accurate information.

We all come from various parts of the world. We have in our communities or at least near our communities victime centers that can provide education/prevention information. We can learn the dynamics of domestic violence and the dynamics of sexual assault.

Now go forth. Educate yourselves if you have not already and be good people.

Please be kind, please be good, please be everything in my mind.

Amen to that! (Mind if I quote you on that?) All anyone cares about are looks, and then when their relationships go straight to hell/ fall to pieces .... they have NO IDEA what happened. Looks mean NOTHING.

Tis true, Xeno is wise in this.
But Xeno? Surely there must be some sort of conspiracy going on here? wink2.gif

Ah yes ! The government must be placing toxins in our water that cause us to revert to human instincts and slob over people's looks much more then we normally would ( Lust has gone up over the years , it used to be about honor and chivalry now its just F##k F##K F##K ! ) . This allows certain industries such as the sex industry to flaunt about and create lots of money so the government can yet again tax us for something ...our own lust ! cool.gif

People People: This is not about sex!!!. I realize that when we see, hear or read something this horrific it is human to go for the humor or intentionally mis-understand the realities. We are all trying to dislodge the image from our minds.

What about this? This woman is probably dead. If she is not, then she has a lifetime of physical ailments and emotional scars. How funny is that?

Sorry, this is too much.

sheesh! Who put the toxins in his water?
Pardon our lack of sensitivity, Peacelover. Tis a tragedy for sure. But no one is in denial here dude. Most of us are desensitized by articles like this that we have been reading since we could read.
Props for you emotional depth. thumbsup.gif But dont judge others for not having the same reactions as you.

Dear Moe: Sorry for the outburst, but I guess I do not find any humor in this particular story.

I have been to over 300 crime scenes involving Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault. It is incredible what we as people can do to eachother. Absolutely none of the victims were laughing. Absolutely none of the law enforcement officials that were there with me were laughing. Absolutely none of the Hospital personell were laughing while trying to help the victim or the offender.

But for everyone's conveniance I will not post comments in the future when reading a story like this one.

My only question is: How is it that you have become de-sensitized by reading about a crime like this?

One last note: I am a woman.

Thanks
