Alienated Being
Okay. I just went outside for a little walk/run. I ran down to my aunt and uncle's place, stopped in front of their house, and then ran back up to my cousin's place on the same street. When I came to a stop for a rest, I looked up at the sky and noticed a strange glowing... rod. It seemed like it was glowing a bluish/green colour. I, by no means, am suggesting that this was extraterrestrial, but I think it was interesting nonetheless. I didn't hear any sound, and it stayed there for about 10 - 15 minutes before disappearing.

What was this, do you think? huh.gif
Graylady
10-15 mins don't you think you could have went to your cousin/uncles house and grab a camera from them?

Alienated Being
Yes, providing that it wasn't 10:30 PM.

HELL NO THATS JUST CRAZY TALK!!!

nobody on this forum actually takes photos of these amazing life altering change the way of life as we know it type things that they see..

why would they want to do that??? thats just crazy!

proof?? who needs it"? NOT ME!!!
Alienated Being
I just thought it was cool to look at. I'm not forcing you to believe me. huh.gif Also, it wasn't super bright - it was rather dim... and it would've been hard to photograph with a camera.
Jjbreen
Ab - we honestly have nothing to to talk about. What you saw - U SAW - no one else... so how are we suppose to dialog w/out a picture or video or something?? We can't.... It's just that simple.

Tell me about it! Don't you feel bad about that AB
Alienated Being
Yes. Well, at first I thought it might have been a comet. I then realized that it was maintaining a stationary position. It stayed in that same position for quite some time. Then, it finally dimmed out. However, slowly... not fast, slowly. Just slowly disappeared from my view.

I have no idea as to what it could have been. It was really amazing to look at. w00t.gif

Comet no - those are so in the news when Comets are around. Now meteor's - it could have been and they can appear to be stationary based on your FOV (Field Of View).

Last I checked, meteors don't stay in the same spot... and don't have a long, blue line behind them that looks like a glow stick.

Actually - yes they can again depending on your Field of View of the meteor. They can be red, green, blue and yellow... depeding on the metal make up.

Exactly. People like to make the claims. Nobody ever wants to pick up a camera. Stories are just easier.

I think that standing around looking at a rod for 10-15 minutes means your crazy.

Meteors are not 10-15 min events.

As I said, I'm not forcing you or anybody to believe me. I just felt like sharing what I experienced. Just because I didn't have a camera doesn't mean that I'm making it up.

Actually back in 1980 or 90, I now do not remember, it was a 'few' years back. There was a slow burning satilite (no not a meteor) - that caugt attention for longer then 15 minutes and was seen over 3 countries. Canada - US and a part of South America. It was known what it was and was highlighted before it started to decay in orbit. So umm - sorry dude, but yes this can happen.

Satelites are not meteors.

In fact that makes no sense to even talk of satellites as a satellite would never fit AB's description.

Well obviously w/your vast experience you would know...
As for Sats and Meteors - U R correct they are two different items all together. But unless you know one from the other - they are usually called Meteors.... My bad.

So I guess I have submit to your knowledge.... Hailing Frequencies Closed

laugh.gif That's true. If I had a camera with me, I would've taken a picture of it. But I have no reason to lie.

I'm not saying you lied or have any reason too. What I am saying is, it is hard to actually dialog this with any depth or understanding - because we have no idea what you saw, for that matter it seems neither do you. So it's handicapped dialog to start with. That is all I was trying to say......

Yeah, well I wasn't really trying to suggest that you were leering towards the fact that I was lying... it's just that others who have posted here are demanding PROOF of what I saw.

Nope - U saw what U saw - it's just that I see no real way to dialog it since we have nothing to help us visualize what you saw.

It obviously was a UFO --> UN-indentified Flying Object.

Was it a meteor? We don't know.
Was it a falling sat? We don't know.

What do we know - nothing.... which is pretty much my point.... original.gif

Yeah. I feel bad now for not getting some photographic evidence of it, though. It would've been too dim to capture, anyway. It was quite far up.

I just wanted it clear that I wasn't 'dis'ing' you or anything like that - not at all. I do totally believe and accept that you saw a UFO. For me personally - dialogs like this are like trying to explain the color "red" to a blind person. It's just very hard to do..... original.gif

Hah. No worries. I wasn't trying to insinuate that you were dissing me. laugh.gif
