what is it called the cord im looking for that hooks from your laptop to your TV?? im trying to watch movies thru my laptop onto my TV.. lemme no thanx all.. and how do u program it? or does it do it automatically, if i put it on video 2 or somethin.

As far as I know, the only way you can is to use an S-Video cord.

Although to be honest, the resolution is terrible. At least when I've done it, it only supports up to 640x480 resolution and it has a large black border, doesn't fill up the whole screen.

I think there's high and low resolution s-video cables though, the low resolution ones have 4 pins..

You can use an S-video cable if your laptop has an S-video out. Not all do. Most should have a VGA out and there are adapters that will take a VGA port to something the TV could use. The resolution depends more on the tv. I have one TV that gets 800 by 600 and another that will do 1024 by 768 and both are with an S-video cable. The black border mentioned also depends on the tv. I have never had that problem. Most likely you could adjust your display properties to fix that. Many computers that support a tv out also have a capability to adjust the size and position of the image on the screen.
