Er, hate to burst the bubble but the Buddha died 2,600 odd years ago! That's the same as saying it's a vision of John Lennon.

How cute. At least it's not some well-known image of Buddha like all those Mary and Jesus in the sky images floating around online... they make me laugh, clearly photoshopped because it's the same image in every picture. I think this is just a rainbow and shadow, still pretty though.

It is an interesting picture. If you notice, it's a double rainbow. There is the bright rainbow, and then a dimmer rainbow on the outside.

I thought Buddha was fat.

^ not necessarily. I think considering it's China, majority of the people are buddhist, and therefore when they see something 'holy' like this, naturally it's buddha. If this happened in a primarily Christian area, it'd be hailed as Jesus.

Buddha was believed to be fat because he could let go of physical cravings and worries, and actually breathe. You'll notice that when people are least stressed, they seem to be more inflated, because they are taking the time to breathe.
