I think infinity can be explained and if a god exists as a intelligible being it could not possibly be omnipotent because of what being infinite means. It could only be a less than omnipotent being which would make its presence not as impressive or respectacble as the structure in which the god is governed by. So I would assume if the god was an emotional creature I would hope it's like a buddist or something, otherwise it might be a mean babylike vindictive little thing reaking havoc. Another possibility would be it was loving and it would teach us to be equals, then no longer be recognized as a god.

I think you do have a point ...sort of!
We could be all following our own version of religion. We could have sailed far away from original teachings and beliefs .. but I think that God knows that already .. and He is Love . So much for for the "angry" part .
On the other hand , there definitely is a big difference between belief and religion . Like there is between concept and ritual . Which brings me to the question :are all religions right , or are they all wrong ?

I don't believe most are wrong just split on certain belief's, I do not think that God would be upset with us because he is an understanding God and of all people, he/she to me would be the most forgiving.

actually I think you hit the nail on the head with ' none of our religions fit what God really is about' because none has the truth. maybe that is what we're supposed to realise .

what would happen is exactly what is happening - war , death , arguing, hate, ........... oh sure we're 'loving' when with our own 'kind' , but we don't extend that to those outside our comfort zone. Instead we pass judgement of right or wrong ( as though we actually know what God thinks lol no one does .)

What would God think? If God were human in it's reactions and if God had human limits of emotion it would think it all was pathetic.

But in my own belief it all happens for a reason even if I can't understand or agree so I think God would think all was going according to plan. Why I have no clue. I'm not God.

who knows how it all unfolds in the future.

I've talked about this before, i think it works both ways. in one way god can accept people for organizing and worshipping something that they believe in, as long as the figure they worship is thought to be at a level higher than we can understand. actually i take the other way back... the more science we discover, and the more we realize how complex and organized things are in nature, the stronger our belief should be, and the more religious we should be. you always hear about god being very forgiving, so i guess it wouldn't matter anyway as long as we aren't rebellious and unbelieving on purpose.

No because I believe what we call God is a combination of all of these views and more. Each religion only discusses an aspect of the Divine which they find to be worthy of worship/admiration/respect, etc. Futhermore, God would not be angry or happy because God is beyond personification.

I wonder why there is a general belief that Gos is a male?

Agreed thumbsup.gif Why would a deity that creates not pro-creates need a sexual orientation to begin with? Sexuality would be redundant if they were the sole creator. God is neither male nor female because He/she does not reproduce.

Hell is a personal choice (eternal separation from our creator) not a punishment.

Hmm, why would someone that hides all their existence and doesn't want people to know he exists, get mad when people don't believe in him.
Sounds kinda stupid to me.

O' I most definitely believe God sits high up Somewhere and looks down on us in disgust--

Life is a gift of God you have chosen to accept the finite version of it or you would not still be with us. Live it to the fullest, laugh, play and make friends and leave a lasting legacy of your life toward the pursuit of goodness, not for any eventual rewards but because it is the right thing to do.

I believe If you like the gift of life you have an opportunity to keep it, seek out matters of spirituality, don’t ever stop if you are uncertain of the conclusions you arrive at because that uncertainty is a red flag that you have not found the truth. Seek and you shall find it, knock and the door will be opened.

Remember you are under no obligation to do so if you choose to not pursue a renewal of life. This mortal life may be plenty enough living for some and eternity may not be enough for others.

There is an element of peace in believing in a certainty and I pray that all that read this find that certainty of spirit. Then carry on laughing and loving and living the rest of this life with joy and hope.

Gosh, Amen to that!

What if everything we question should just be shut already....

I mean in all conspiracies and all hate and all the negatives such as the life and its secrets, history (if history is bound to repeat itself, who knows if it was actually 100% real)....maybe we're too paranoid into what's next... maybe we think that God is real. Or maybe not...

The real question and hopefully the cure to our imminent feelings: Can we just move on?

i had so many experiences that were actually good and also bad to me...i look at all of it as a positive thing and don't regret a thing. Maybe if we seek a ending, there will be such progress. If man had free will, then please to do!

If the human species was to end now, why not? Accept it! Then you would realize the real definition of happiness. When we feel like underdogs, no matter what happens, we aren't ashamed or mad about losing. We win....then we win......

God is whatever you say he/she is...it's you who controls your will and God does his/her job to stay out of it....maybe something else...we live to go on....you're the judge!
