My friend wanted me to come over this week because there was a, let's say, entity in the cabinet beneath her bathroom sink. It was wrapped in a plastic bag, stunk, and was leaking. She's been in the apartment for months now and neither her nor her roommate had put it there. She only discovered it last week because of its strange positioning:

Because it looked uncomfortably fleshy, no one would remove it. To be honest, it sort of looked vaguely head-like. I came over, and with a lot of fuss, poked it then pulled it down. It seemed like a rotting gourd. My friend swore to me, though, that when she moved in to the apartment there was no gourd in the cabinet. The bag containing it, however, was there. She tried to remove the bag because it seemed odd to have a bag just hanging randomly from a pipe, but it was tied too tightly so she gave up. This led to theory that the gourd, or whatever it was, grew from a seed in the dark, sustaining itself on the water from the pipes it hung from. I debated this, because I don't see how a gourd can grow without sunlight, even if it could manage the feat of growing without soil. Can a gourd grow in the dark?
I don't know for sure how long it stunk, possibly weeks. My friend thought the smell was coming from her girlfriend's thrown-out pads, and only just realized it was coming from the Head.
You guys it is not a fungus. It had seeds. And skin (and a personality ). They looked like pumpkin seeds. It even had that weird gutsy filling that you see in gourds.
Any thoughts?
