Reading your post I went out looking for it too. I have a word version so I can't verify it, but if its not the actual book its a very well constructed fake. That said its far more adult than the others, the word 'sh*gging' is used 4 times throughout the book and 'w*nker' at least twice.... that said they are pretty tame compared to other words that could have been used, and given her audience is getting older, not that bad. But, makes me wonder if its genuine.

I'm on page 140

Before anyone says anything, I am still going to buy the hardcopy, but I'm to obssessed with the series to wait.

Just a word of warning to anyone trying to find a copy of the Deathly Hallows online. There's a computer virus masquerading as a copy of the new book - see here for details. You might get a copy of the book, or you might get unlucky.

Personally, I can wait another three days for the real thing innocent.gif

To my knowledge, there is a fanfiction book out there under the title of Deathly Hallows, and as Paranoid Android said there's a virus copy too. If it's typed out, I dunno if it's the genuine one, I know the genuine one is in picture form so can be found on sites like photobucket. As far as I know, the person took photos with his digital camera of each page of the novel, he didn't type it out, so you could possibly be reading the fanfiction one.

Two days until Deathly Hallows is released!

I've spent the last three days rushing through Order of the Phoenix and The Half Blood Prince so that I'm up to date, I never knew it was possible to read so quickly. tongue.gif

EDIT: Here's a link to a torrent for the Deathly Hallows fanfiction, it's pretty good. Click

I have considered it may be the fanfiction given it goes with many of the beleifs fans currently hold ie. the scar being the horcrux and RAB being Siruis's brother. Also the kids have gotten drunk in one chapter, and the use of the word sh*g while is slang that would fit with her now teenage audience, I wonder how the 5-10 year old audience would take it. Also Giny's poteus... however its spelled is a tiger in this one, but I feel was a horse in the Order of the Pheonix.

Certainly, part of me hopes it is a fanfiction, because its very good and it would fantastic to have it, sob at the end of it thiking its done, only to have yet another to read.

YES!

I DLed the fanfic, its the same one I have!!

This means, as well as enjoying this one I get to enjoy a completely different one on Saturday! Muahahahaha Yes! Yes!

As for the fanfic, I'm actualy relieved, because as much as I am enjoying it, I felt the teenage language was effecting the charm - but it is actually every enjoyable and anyone looking to burn the next 25 hours until the release of the real book can now join me in reading this without fearing spoiling the actual novel!

Yeah, Harry's even worse in the book. Talon pretty much sums it up in her post, though there's also the fact that Harry is channelling Voldemort. I dunno if it was clear to people who haven't read the book, I thought the movie made it clear, but basically his scar connects him to Voldemort who realizes that he can actually get into Harry's head (as we see with the 'false' scene planted in there at the end). Harry unknowingly is feeling Voldemort's frustration at being unable to get his hands on the prophecy, which also attributes to his angry moments, such as when he yells at Dumbledore to look at him. In the book Harry confesses that he had an urge to attack Dumbledore at that moment. Basically Harry is supposed to come off as a typical angst-ridden teen, feeling (rightly so) that the world is against him, but he's also channelling Voldemort's anger, which makes him a little crazy-like geek.gif

Thanks for clearing that up. again i havent read the books and alot of people have said I should read this one at least to fill in the major plot holes th emovie has

Actually I'm a he. My avatar contains two lesbian anime characters (Konoka/Setsuna from Negima) because of my beleif that hot lesbians are awesome, rather than a reference to my gender.

Well, I just saw Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix and a few things are bugging me...

1 - How exactly is Harry a half-blood? Voldemort said in Goblet that Lily used "old magic" to protect Harry from him...which would suggest that she was a witch, yes?

2 - During the battle between the Order and the Death-Eaters everyones running around like a moron trying to stun, disarm and disable one another...Bellatrix is the only one thinking with her head: Avada kadabra! Why aren't they all doing this? Seems to do the trick...and Lupin and Black have already proven they're willing to use the curse on Death-Eaters...doesn't make sense.

3 - Bellatrix tortured Neville's parents? In the last movie it was Barty Jr who did it, no?

I had a couple others but I've forgotten...

Anyways, great movie...the casting is becoming a bit silly, though...I think it would have been wise to re-cast the kids...they're just too old...the twins looked completely out of place and I could have sworn Neville had a five o'clock shadow.
