Finding the Voice, Hearing the Glory

Silence is the darkness, serenity, though, isn’t cold,
Shouting in the Presence, His inner peace is bold,
Am I dying in this place, my fall to remain unseen?
The chalk on the mask covers not my soul which to this day stays clean,
Does the world need to know the true light of the sun,
Or should they stay lost in their places, slowly coming undone?,
What sayeth the prophets, their word is thy command,
Will you sacrifice your addiction, sin, being caught by His right hand?,
Should you open the shades of this new found temple, let light flood the floors?,
What if it meant, to keep the glow, you must also open doors?
In the grace the shadows fail, a brilliant blinding light,
But even in the infinite day, are you immune to the allure of night?

The cyan rain comes, the oasis grows, the desert is no more,
For as the true enlightened one knows, euphoria wins the war,
Water falls, torrents flow, this water something so pure,
I still cannot see the hurricane’s wind, but of its effects I’m sure,
Destruction is one thing it doesn’t bring, glory it’s only sound,
Where before you could hear the forsaken one sing, a choir is to be found,
Even though you never touch the stars, you dance across the sky,
You will not read these open tomes, nor will you wonder why,
My soul, a goblet, overflows, the wine a thing of grace,
The road I’ve walked is still behind me, though I won’t leave this place,
What have I done to deserve this, I cannot comprehend,
All I can do is give thanks, for the wound in my faith He could mend.
