Hello Marcus.
For what it's worth here is some feedback on your dream.
The two sides of good and evil waring could represent one of two things, either you sentiments about conflict in general (this depends on your view of war and the war that is currently waging) or a change that is taking place inside of you right now. Depending on your age and what stage you are at in your life right now it may represent a transition like youth to adult or a shift of consciousness. Being so shaken by a dream is nothing to be ashamed about (shame on the person who mocked you for being upset.) Dreams are apart of us and can be very emotional experiences and can sometime leave a person with what I call dream lag, (kind of like jet lag), where the effects of a dream may linger with you for an hour or two perhaps even affecting the mood of your entire day. I've known several persons who express this type of feeling it's normal.
Your Mother's dream since you decided to include seems to be her fear of losing you. The foreign country could be to the war if you are of service age or coming on service age soon, to marriage (another woman could be represented this way) or what ever transitional stage that takes you away from being a small child that she can protect. The point that she lost you in water reflects both the emotion of it and that fear of loosing her baby.
That sounds like a worrying but normal mommy dream.
Regards,
Mabon.
Interesting! I am coming of the age to be independent, I am 20 right now & I'm getting ready to finally leave the nest soon and be on my own. I guess my mother's dream could represent her being scared of her losing her baby as I leave to be on my own. INTERESTING! My mother now says it wasn't a lake... it was like a river I fell in & she was trying to find me. I went on a dream interpretation site and this is what it said about rivers.. I found these to be accurate... creepy..
River dreams....
"A river or stream can mean a journey, going from one stage of life to another. Rivers 'go places' and help you reach destinations. Are you on a fun float trip, or are you getting stuck in shallow places? Do you feel frightened and frustrated, or are you able to adapt and "go with the flow"?"
1.) Like I said, I'm about to embark in a journey now because I will be leaving for college in the fall! Also, I've been soul searching.. I've been studying numerology, astrology of all kinds.. I'm very interested in Mayans astronomy and the prediction of end times. I've also been reading my bible & I've gotten more spiritual aware of things. So I would say that I'm on a journey right now... COOL! I am also a little worried about this new transition in my life.
Wars in dreams
Dreams of war are often an indication that parts of yourself are at war with each other. Record these dreams in your journal and take a look at what the symbols are saying. You might ask yourself these questions:
* Is this an inner struggle that can be resolved with compromise? Carl Jung taught that dreams of war indicated a battle between the dreamer's unconscious and conscious minds.
* Is there a situation in waking life where you must choose one thing over another? For example, are you struggling with your "want to" and "need to?"
* Is the battle a necessary one or one that you have blown out of proportion?
* Is your conscience nagging at you about a behavior or recent decision?
* Are you being too hard on yourself?
* Is your home or work life so stressful that you feel that you may be living in a "war zone?"
Bombs
Again, are you under stress or pressure? Dreaming of bombs may indicate that you feel that something, possibly even yourself, is about to explode. Just as dreaming of war indicates a spiritual, moral, emotional or physical battle, dreaming of bombs may symbolize conflict exploding if it's not addressed and dealt with. Perhaps an emotion, such as anger, may be approaching an explosive level. Is your life so stressful that you feel you're walking on a minefield? Reflect on the list of questions above to help determine the meaning of your dream.
If you're dreaming of war and bombs along with other violent dreams, take a look at your stress level and emotional state. Meditation, taking a break, saying "no," and pampering yourself all may help bring you back to your center.
2.) I think I am at war with my conscious and unconscious mind! Right now I'm a little worried about this change and I'm trying to fight myself to not worry so much about it. So I'm in a war right now within myself to not worry. I've also been very frightened and worried about religion and where I stand with god. I've been wondering what's really out there and I've just been thinking about god a lot lately and am wondering if I'm doing good in his eyes.. I've been doing alot of different things.. praying and meditating! I found so many things about myself that ring true... Numerology has some truth to it & it ties in with the bible in a way! Check these three sites out... VERY INTERESTING!
