In my opinion is the movie "Gone with the wind" the best movie all times. The movie is based on a book of Margaret Mitchell and was a Bestseller in the 20th century. The movie has the same quality as the book; I should even say better.

I must admit I don't have one particular movie in mind. I always consider any movie that in some way, changes your own life to be very profound and therefore a "good'un".
The Exorcist was one such movie for me, but I wouldn't consider it one of the movies in the "best movie ever" category for everyone lol.

That's a pretty vague question, so I guess I would do it this way:
Drama:
The Shawshank RedemptionThriller:
The Usual Suspects but
Hostage was a close second there
Fantasy:
LOTR trilogySci/Fi:
Star Wars TrilogyComedy:
A Fish Called WandaHorror: a toss up between
An American Werewolf in London and
Evil DeadThose are just off the top of my head, I'm sure there are others that I loved just as much if not more and forgot to mention.

It's almost impossible to name just one. Some are Citizen Kane, On the Waterfront, Casablanca etc. But if I had to pick one then I would say then, 2001: A Space Odyssey because it revolutioned the concept of Cinema without narrative.

Oooo, good question!
Drama: Although Shawshank is a fantastic movie, I'm going to have to go with another Stephen King movie here and say Stand By Me
Thriller: Wild Things. Could you call that a thriller?
Fantasy: Harry Potter. All of them.
Sci/Fi: ?? Star Wars Trilogy
Comedy: Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back.
Horror: I don't do horror!
Action: Indiana Jones

Most people mention different top movies. I like to know a short summary of their favorite movies. There are a lot of good movies. I like also the Titanic, and some with more action like the movies of Hitchcock.
A family movie which I like the most is the Sound of Music. I watch this movie every year. Read more about it :
