London - British divorcee has married one of the sons of al Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden.

Jane Felix-Browne, a 51-year-old grandmother from northwest England, married 27-year-old Omar bin Laden in Egypt in April.

Felix-Browne, who also uses the name Zaina Mohamad, is a local councilor with three children and five grandchildren. It is her sixth marriage.

She said that she met Omar bin Laden, the al Qaeda leader's fourth son, while riding a horse near the Great Pyramid, in Giza, Egypt.

The couple held Islamic marriage ceremonies in both Egypt and Saudi Arabia, Felix-Browne said.

Felix-Browne said she "married the son, not the father."

She said she would one day like to meet her father-in-law to find out if he really is the mastermind behind the terrorist atrocities he is accused of.

She said her husband, a scrap dealer and one of 18 brothers, was raised in Sudan and Afghanistan after his father was expelled from Saudi Arabia for anti-government actions.

Felix-Browne said she has become Omar bin Laden's second wife, and is hoping to arrange a visa for her new husband to visit Britain, but acknowledged it would be difficult.

The British Consulate said Omar bin Laden's application was rejected because he had failed to provide them with his father’s permanent address.

I find the news odd. If his father's name is Osama bin laden. And this lady married a man named Omar bin laden. This means Osama and Omar are brothers, not father and son. You see in islam bin means Son OF. So if osama is omar's father than it will be Omar bin Osama. Really strange news.

And it always drives me crazy when people call osama in news as Bin laden. That's like calling his father. Muslim people do not have family names. We only bear our father's name after our name. We are supposed to be called by our first name, nothing else. Bin = son of. Binte = daughter of.

i find it odd that she says they met, when she was on a camel in the desert and he rode up to her. what is he lawrence of arabia, that sounds too much like a hollywood fantasy, and she was married 5 other times. im thinking , cukoo cukoo.
