And please explain why. If you reply with "people can't be trusted" then why should I trust you.
Because it's been proven to be fake more than once. And they guy who did it said he took a dinosaur toy and one of his son's toy boats turned it upside down and taped the dinosaur head to it.
Black_Spade
I can't believe we're even still discussing this... That picture is older than my grandmother. It was proven to be a child's toy in a bathtub. Either a submarine or a toy dinosaur.

You are mistaken. The picture was proven to be fake. I can replicate it using an older camera, my bathtube (or a mountain lake), my old toy dinos, and photoshop. The creature (whatever it is) has not yet been proven or disproven, although most people have very strong opinions either way.

One immortal plesiosaur? Now that'd be something to see.

And one is a fish. One is a large aquatic reptile. Latimeria of today is quite different from the Coelecanth of the past. Loch Ness was frozen in ice till a mere 12,000 years ago.

You would think more people attempting the plesiosaur theory would take note of that, but alas they don't

I was talking about the picture. And i do believe there is something in the loch. All those people that have seen or had encounters with it including tour boat captains can't all be lying or wrong about what they've seen.
REBEL
That pic on the original post looks like a human arm with a clenched fist rising out of the water...as for very clear photo, i don't think so.
Jouster
yes yes I know that the picture is a fake now....

There has always been a debate on the loch-ness monster. this picture ,though clear, might not be as real as you might think. Where specail effects and hoaxes play their part in this onbegoing question, can there really be a monster in loch ness? or is it just a lie. while some claim to have seen the loch ness monster, could it just be a grab at attention? Here are some "first hand" expeirences that they say are real as cookies. (maybe not cookies but everyone likes cookies!). these are all 2005 sightings of nessy found at the loch ness fan club.
15th October
Robbie Girvan, owner of the Loch Ness Caravan Park at Invermoriston, took five pictures of what he described as a 4 feet high head and neck at 6pm when he was walking his dogs by the loch shore. He said he saw a long neck come out of the water and had time to return to the house, get his camera, and return to take the pictures. Previously a non-believer, he said that the ‘dark green and silvery’ creature could only have been Nessie.
9th September
A retired Master Mariner was cruising just south of Urquhart Bay in a Caley Cruisers boat at a speed of 9 knots when they were overtaken by an unknown object which was between them and the south shore. Unlike anything any of the three people on the boat had seen before, the sighting lasted several minutes with whatever it was only disappearing as they moved the boat towards it. A regular boat user on the loch, the captain said that there was no rational explanation for what they had seen.
28th August
Kelly Yeats and Neil McKenzie from Bridge of Dee were staying at Foyers Bay House when they saw a ‘long necked, curved headed’ creature in the loch at 8.30 in the morning. The sighting lasted 10 minutes.
11th August
Mr Bell and his family from Newcastle watched what they described as the head of a large animal move through the loch at 6pm in the evening. The family, who were on the veranda of a holiday lodge at Foyers at the time, said that the head was larger than that of a cow and was about 1/3 of the way across the loch. Regular visitors to the area, they were convinced it was not a boat wake or wave movement that they had seen.
PS I myself do not believe in such sightings. though they are convincing I beleive that if it was that big some one would see it more often than that. It is really fun to wonder about these things though. that is why I like posting these things!

This picture was proven a fake. Plus, how the hell is that a clear photo? It just looks like a plastic figure attached to a sub.
Wookie
That is a old photo ive seen it a million times in my ventures thru the net except someone actually put an eye on this one to make it look even more fake
Cryptozoology:BELIEVE!
*looks*
Doesn't really look like loch ness... It could be a log or something...
Wait. I've seen this picture before. It was deemed fake. Hm.
Vincent Campion
Anyone could tell it was fake by looking at the picture.
NightWyvern

Mostar

El_diablos

NightWyvern

I have never seen this photo, not that I was missing out. But I think you might be thinking of the surgeon's photo.
