Instead of Conspiracy, how about Truth?

We, Americans, live in a lie.

At least, those of us still in the country, that is.

Look around you, look for things that don't make sense when put together.

Look at the news that we're being thrown, then look at the only source that isn't completely tainted - the internet, and see what they're reporting.

Look at how the world is changing, weather, earthquakes, solar flares - and look how they use them as explanations for odd things happening.

Look at China, where they evacuated a 3 mile radius from a natural gas "mine" explosion. 3 miles. 40,000 people, because the hole in the ground is still releasing "poisonous gases".

What the hell? Natural gas wells in Oklahoma spring leaks all the time, and they don't evacuate anyone there - except those who might be within a mile or so, and that's only because of possible explosions.

What are they not telling us?

How is it that we were "almost out" of oil in the 1970s, and yet our consumption rate has gone up exponentially since then - and we're still plugging along without any sign of oil going away.

Why are we really at "war" with the middle east? Is it because of the huge amounts of oil they produce? Is it because there was a threat that one of the countries got wise to the value of that stuff?

Why are we being lied to about government expenditures?

Why are the roads and the rest of our infrastructure years and years behind where they should be, and yet billions and billions of dollars are thrown at them every year?

We need to stand up, as people, and take back our country. I'm not saying violence, but I think people need to start sharing facts, and the media can go to hell.

We need to start our own "media" to distribute truth, not conjecture, not theories. There's enough truth out there to pass to people that they can draw the right conclusions from - the truthful conclusion.

We need to march on Washington and tell them to give back our freedom, and to stop all the lies. We need to tell them as a people we will NOT stand for the lying, the stealing, and the downright evil that corrupts our federal goverment.

Something else that seems to be forgotten lately - the Federal government is only supposed to *manage* our inter-state infrastructure, our economy, and the three branches. They're not supposed to tell the states how to manage anything - they're supposed to hand money over to them for self-management.

Our federal government has lied to us, and has ignored its duties laid down by the constitution. The only way I can foresee fixing this is a new constitution.

Feel free to flame away.

I think every country is in the same pickle lonegunman, however, we ourselves cannot make this "media" without money, and where do you expect these funds to appear from? The media makes there money from advertising, subscriptions, and tv lieciences(sp?). How do they start up? the government grants them money to get started.....do you think they would fund a project that would be against the government? We would need a extremely rich person with unlimited funds and patience to pull it off, and they don't grow on trees either........

But we do have our own form of media right here, unfortunatley this doesn't reach every citizen on earth. We would all like the ultimate truth, but the possibility of us knowing it looks grim.

Why do we want the unlimited truth? Can people really stand the truth, I am not sure. And as for people being deceived; we are only as deceived as we want to be. If someone wants the truth they will find it; if they do not want it then they will create their own truth.

We, Americans, live in a lie.

At least, those of us still in the country, that is

So why is this exclusively an American issue?

Look at the news that we're being thrown, then look at the only source that isn't completely tainted - the internet, and see what they're reporting
The internet not completely tainted? laugh.gif

Look at how the world is changing, weather, earthquakes, solar flares - and look how they use them as explanations for odd things happening
You should have posted an example, because the things you mentioned can create some very odd things.

Look at China, where they evacuated a 3 mile radius from a natural gas "mine" explosion. 3 miles. 40,000 people, because the hole in the ground is still releasing "poisonous gases".
Since this was reported by the AP, among other international news agencies, what does this have to do with the U.S., or the way the news is reported within this country?

How is it that we were "almost out" of oil in the 1970s, and yet our consumption rate has gone up exponentially since then - and we're still plugging along without any sign of oil going away.
It's not that the worlds oil supply was low, but that there was an oil embargo through much of the western world, which limited the amount of oil being imported.

Why are we being lied to about government expenditures?
Because politicians control the money. This is not exclusively an American problem

Why are the roads and the rest of our infrastructure years and years behind where they should be, and yet billions and billions of dollars are thrown at them every year?
It's called government waste. This is not exclusively an American problem

They're not supposed to tell the states how to manage anything - they're supposed to hand money over to them for self-management.
This has been an issue since this country has been in existence. States do receive federal assistance, but it comes at a price. The more individual states rely on the federal government, the more control the federal government has over the state. There is also the issue of federal laws that all states must adhere to.

Our federal government has lied to us, and has ignored its duties laid down by the constitution. The only way I can foresee fixing this is a new constitution
Ummm, a new constitution only ratifies the governments corruptions. By this argument, if the government is going against the constitution(which is determined by the supreme court), then we should change the constitution to fit the government instead of forcing the government to adhere to the constitution. Are you sure this is the only way you can foresee fixing this?

The internet is hopelessly tainted. Almost every site offering information has an agenda.

The internet is full of lies, lunacy, and hatred. Occasionally we get links to some of that ****e here.

Well all i will say is look at the high end economic countries like Japan/rich parts of Asia, Most countries in Europe and the Americas/Canada and Australia you'll notice most counties went wierd around the end of the first world war well in my mind they did.

While in the more poorer countries this isnt so cos really there isnt anything to actually get corrupted,

all i can say is absolute power corrupts absolutely

more tech dependant countries means more or less more mysteries and people can be stopped from solving them in any number of ways.

while supersticious countries are more harder to control, as they have traditions to up hold and people will go and riot any time if somthing bad or unfair was to happen to those traditions

just look at the places mentioned above and look at the traditions those that cant be commercialised have all but dissapeared.

Yeah lonegunmen seriously you can't believe that the internet is not tainted. It may be a great way to find information but it is more corrupt than any other forn of media known.

Your country is just like every other country. The people in power don't hand out info for the reason that 3/4 of the population of the world are too stupid to handle the info.

By the way your comment on the chinese disaster wasn't very well thought out. Remember the style of government that they have. They like the former soviet union are very selective about facts when disasters occur ie. chernobyl and K19, they need to build a god like status in order to keep the complete control that they have over their people. What does this have to do with America?

What the hell? Natural gas wells in Oklahoma spring leaks all the time, and they don't evacuate anyone there - except those who might be within a mile or so, and that's only because of possible explosions.

By the way natural gas can become very volatile in certain conditions.

My families farm is located over several extremely large natural gas storage caverns; these were built in the 30's and are therefore constantly watched for the possibility of a leak. We have been informed many times by the company that owns the complex that in the event of a large scale leak, we should evacuate to a minimum of a five mile radius away from the complex; preferably farther. We are assured that in the case of a total leak being set off by a spark, our farm that is 1/4 mile away will certainly be destroyed by the blast. So a three mile evacuation hardly seems unlikely.

Yay! Lots of responses, people talking, even if there were problems with some of the stuff I said, people still responded.

Thanks!

Let me address a couple of things - I didn't intend to mean that it's only Americans that are affected by the deceit. I'm horrible at expressing myself, and I'll try to clarify - it seems that the American government is the root of a lot of the deceit going around the world lately. It's not the only country that lies to its people, but it certainly is no where near sainthood.

Further on the American thing, I started the post out as I did, as I was trying to express that it was coming from an American viewpoint, and that it might not be true for everyone. Again, not very clear on my part, and again, apologies.

As to the Internet being tainted, I know it is, but there's probably a lot more truth on the 'net than there is in the television and print media. That doesn't mean that there aren't more lies, too, there's a heck of a lot of information on the Internet that the news media don't ever report, true or not. What I should have said was, "the place we can find more of the truth is the Internet". My apologies for not being clear.

As to the gas explosion stuff, when I lived 2 miles from a natural gas mine, they never told us of a possibility of a leak being hazardous to us - I recall a couple of occasions where it *did* leak, and they simply came out and fixed it. Maybe that's just the way they do things in Oklahoma, or I'm thinking of a completely different situation. Either way, it struck me as suspicious, hence why I mentioned it.

Anyways, fearfulone, if you're serious, send me a private message, and I'll see if I can write up some articles/get in touch with other interested parties.

Thanks, everyone!

I work in the natural gas industry and we use a 7 mile evac if a leak were to ever happen in our sour gas lines. Well, that's what it says in the manual but it hasn't happened yet (knocking on wood).

Agree on all governments having corruption.

Disagree on new constitution. We've got a good one, just Congress, Supreme Court, and Executive have pretty much stepped all over it.... and we vote these same guys in year after year.

I don't know, we have a representative republic but people scream democracy (mob rule). And then, if democracy be the way... then I'm unpatriotic because I don't believe Socialism works and that's what it seems many Americans want. Socialism.

So to me a bloody revolution seems the only way to get out of this socialist hole America has dug itself. We vote one way and the courts decide another, I can't see the Federal Government relinquising any of it's power without it being taken.

But I'm not the revolutionary leader. I'm not even a good fighter. I vote, and grab my ankles so my kids dad won't end up dead or in jail.
