Guest Posted August 15, 2002 #1 Share Posted August 15, 2002 Saw this in the paper. It looked like April the Chipmunk was destind for a watery grave after she lept in to a toilet. She shot round the S-bend, ten feet down a vertical pipe and into the main system around the house. Her owner began bailing out water to no avail and, in desperation, dialed 999. After an hour long rescue operation in which a fire crew prised up a man hole covers and used rods and plungers the little creature was pulled out sodden but alive. Her owner said " i will never forget the moment i realised April had down the toilet. I plunged my hand in to try to grab her, all the time hearing her little squeaking.
