Enter peoples dreams

M. Svendsen

Recommended Posts

I have a friend, a good friend that is having nightmares. Bad bad nightmares that makes my friend depressed and scared, there are voices telling him to do things, etc etc... He cries almost everyday, so I wondered if there is any way, that I could enter his dreams or meet him in our dreams while he sleeps.

Please, if you have read about this on another website i don't really wanna know. I wanna talk to someone who has done it, someone that has got it confirmed from both parts, someone that knows how to do it and is 100% certain that it is possible. If this person does not exist, I guess this isn't the way to go.

I would first suggest your friend sees his doctor. I seriously mean this. There could be a number of reasons for these nightmares. I honestly do not think 'visitation in his dreams' is the answer.

I do know one person who might be able to help you --- but he will only help once he knows 100% for certain that he has seen the doctor. Dream visitation should only be done after all other more practical steps have been taken.

Well to start off it is impossible to enter your friends dreams this is nothing more then fiction. However hypnosis under controlled conditions would allow to talk to him while he is in a hypnotically induced dream state etc. so it's basically like you are there.

What I would suggest to you though is that you should convince him to talk to a doctor, it is in my opinion that your friend likely has a psychological disorder like schizophrenia or some other mental disorder that causes hallucinations or disorders. If he refuses to do so I would recommend calling mental health and have them make a visit to his house as psychological disorders of this nature without treatment get worse over time.

Having horrible nightmares every night may also be a sign of some type of trauma he may have experienced as well manifesting itself or may in fact be also caused by the same psychological disorder that is causing the hallucinations. I however believe that the dreams are likely connected to the disorder.

And what will you do once you enter his dream? Fix the problem? I think both of you needs a doctor.

I have no idea whether it would be impossible to enter someone's dream, however, as I stand at this moment, I do not believe it would be possible - as AtheistGod has already stated.

Dreams can often be so useful, the subconscious will often take sleep as an opportunity to bring to the fore any problems - the trick is deciphering the dreams. For instance, over the years at various intervals, I have had similar dreams, that when I have woken up and looked up in my faithful dream dictionary, the dream is showing me that someone that I least expect is deceiving me and stabbing me in the back - and without fail, it is always true. There have also been other dreams that, when I have worked out their meanings have been extremely useful. However, as for someone entering my dream or vice versa, I do not believe this could be so, as our dreams are private and are meant for the dreamer alone.

Having said all that I do believe, that using certain methods, it would be possible to influence someone whilst they are sleeping - this is an evil thing to do as repeated use of these methods can influence a person and it is overriding their will. It would be extremely unfortunate, M. Svendsen, if your friend were having such a thing happen to him.

He must see a doctor to rule out certain disorders and illnesses, if he does not do this, things will only get worse, which would be a damn shame seeing as how he could get all the help he needs, I suspect, if he just visits that doctor. Only if all tests show that no illness or disorder exists should he look in other directions - always make the first port of call a medical facility.

Why do I need to see a doctor? Don't you think I'm doing other things than just this?

First of all: He has seen a doctor.. You know what he got? Depression pills

Second: I've been seeking help everywhere I can get it, and this place is just one out of many places I'm trying to get an idea. I've only lived in this world for a short time, and I have no idea what is possible between heaven and earth. From the things I've experienced nothing surprises me, not even paranormal things.

I'm just trying to help my friend, he doesn't know I'm posting here.. but I will try every option.

Depression can cause all sorts of things to happen to you mentally. Here's a little expert from the Link I am goign to send you too.

Depression in children is not as obvious as it is in adults. Children may show symptoms such as:

Loss of appetite.

Irritability.

Sleep problems, such as recurrent nightmares.

Learning or memory problems where none existed before.

Significant behavioral changes; such as withdrawal, social isolation, and aggression.

You should read This . It will give you answers to what you're looking for ... it's more than likely not some fantastical answer to his problems. After reading what I sent you, I would think it's the depression. Tell him to be happier.

If you and your friend have exhausted all attempts for finding a cure, you could try contacting a modern-day witch doctor or shaman priest. I'm sure that they're much more experienced than you when it comes to using back-door methodologies to medicine.

Anyone who goes to a doctor and say that they hear voices that tell them to do things will get a referral to see a specialist not depression pills. If he started to hear the voices after he started taking depression medication then the voices may be caused by the pills. It has not been unheard of that many types of these pills can cause psychotic breaks and what have you.

If you say he went to see a doctor and that is what he was prescribed then I do not believe he went to see a doctor because no doctor would give these types of pills to a patient who clearly shows signs of a severe psychological illness.

Second: I've been seeking help everywhere I can get it, and this place is just one out of many places I'm trying to get an idea. I suggest you talk to your local mental health organization and they will give you proper advice, searching for a paranormal reason first in my opinion is the wrong idea.

Again I can almost guarantee that he has a mental illness unless of course he is lying to you.

This topic is about how to enter peoples dream.

His friend was depressed because of nightmares.

The OP problem is, how to enter his friends nightmares.

First of all, change your friends bed position or sleep somewhere

that is comfortable to feel.

Do they mean they consulted a doctor just because of nightmares?

Confusing or lieng?

And why the OP wanted to enter someones dreams?

More confusing...i give up.

Its nice that you want to help your friend. Maybe you should find some books about dreaming and lucid dreaming and give them to him. Contacting a local witch doctor or shaman is also a pretty good idea, but be careful to find a really good one. I wouldn't pay someone for any psychic service unless they come very highly recommended by someone I trust.

Okay, before we start jumping to conclusions here, what does the voices say to your friend? Specifically what are they about?

Hearing voices speak to you in dreams can have meaning to one thing or something else entirely. What sort of lifestyle does your friend have? What are his surroundings like? Such as Family, school, etc...There can be many causes as to his/her stress that can affect dreams.

The best thing to do would be for your friend to have a lucid dream. Entering his dream (most likely through astral projection) will probably not work, since from what I have read about the subject, the odds are high that your friend will not notice you in his dream.

A combination of lucid dreaming and entering his dreams while he's lucid could work, but it would take a long time, because even if you could learn astral projection and he could learn lucid dreaming in just a few months, the odds of you both having them on the same night are low.

I have only done it myself once and it was not intentional. My husband and son have also been in each other's dream at the same time. That wasn't intentional either. So I don't know how to answer your question as that is not my dominate area of gifts.

However, I would suggest that your friend see a doctor and enter therapy. There are many paths to reach the subconscious mind. But the depression and crying can be alleviated in the short term by a qualified psychiatrist. Then perhaps your friend would be willing to face in his conscious mind what haunts him inside. He definitely needs help.

At this juncture, I really believe that your attempts to help your friend will only bring you inside his labyrinth of fears, affecting your own equilibrium because you are not able at this stage to brace against such an onslaught.

The conventional path is not automatically the wrong one just because it is conventional.

yyyeeehhh sure, you can enter another dream, I believe in telling the future in dreams, but I am not sure about entering dreams but maybe it is possible but if it is possible I would not want to enter his dreams they would kind of freak up your mind.

I've only done dream visitation once and unwillingly (it happened recently), I had this nightmare about giant spiders and my brother was sleeping as well (he is 4 and I'm 19), I woke up and heard my brother crying so I went to his room and when he calmed down he told me there were giant spiders in the room (he doesn't really recognize dreams yet).

What does it mean "to brace against such an onslaught"?

If normal medical advice, and you talking to your friend about their dreams does no good, then I go along with the idea of working on his dream scape.

That is teaching him/her to take control of their dreams. This is not as hard as it seems, because there are links betwen the subconscious and conscious elements of our minds. Thus once you have worked out what scares him about the dreams(events/symbols etc) you can work during his conscious hours to give him a weapon to use against it.

The classic defence for most dream terrors is a 44/5 magnum revolver. This has the power to stop any living or dream creature, and once this knowledge is embedded in your friend's consciousness it will seep into his subconscious.

He may not actually use the magnum to eliminate his dream fears (personally I used a pump action shotgun loaded with semisolid shot to get rid of a dream symbol which had terrified me for most of my childhood.) but the empowerment given to him will surface in one form or another.

In reality the dream terrors are probably actually caused by real life problems and worries, but the good old subconscious will utilise extreme symbology to combat the symbols which emerge in dreams, as representations of these worries and concerns.

It is possible to enter another's dreams just as entering anothers conscious mind(esp) is posible, but it is such a rare and difficult ttalentthat it is not of practical use in these circumstances.

I'm new here, but I want to add my two cents. Perhaps your friend should talk with another doctor. Shamans and witch doctors, well any doctor for that matter are costly. I agree that perhaps the medication could be the culprit. I have a sister who is schizophrenic, sometimes her meds make her do wierd things. However, before your friend does something to himself or anyone else, seek a second opinion!

I do have a question. I am a writer, and have a story called "Dream Drifter" which I am taking with me on an insane adventure through a "contest" called the National Novel Writer's Month aka "NaNoWriMO" maybe some of you have heard of it. I have two characters who will be entering dreams. the main character and her daughter. The daughter will be the prominent one who does the drifting. Any suggestions as to how I may be able to explain this to my readers? I'm thinking time continum. Thanks :D
