eight bits Posted March 7, 2008 #2 Share Posted March 7, 2008 (edited) Welcome aboard, emma. The most popular way is to create convective air movement. Most people find blowing on it uninteresting, so they use their warm hands to create air currents instead. A second way, I have heard, is with static electricity. Some people think that that works better with aluminum foil pin wheels. I haven't tried that one myself, but here are some plans and instructions for a foil wheel: http://www.flickr.com/photos/13660011@N08/...57602065042568/ Edited March 7, 2008 by eight bits
Papaver Posted March 7, 2008 #3 Share Posted March 7, 2008 Whilst blowing on it is boring, if you are going to use the blowing method it is better to use the nostrils to blow the air out of because it's more subtle and you may fool a few people more easily, but don't bet on that for sure.
