McCain's Ink Envy. Whining about

McCain’s Ink Envy

John McCain has often been described as a media darling, but that was before Mr. Straight Talk had to run against a political phenomenon. The Arizona senator was already frustrated by his drooping media prestige , but the wall-to-wall coverage of Barack Obama’s international tour, which was kind of McCain’s idea, has him seeing red.

The Guardian:

The Republican presidential hopeful John McCain let his frustration with the US media boil over today for its saturation coverage of Barack Obama’s visit to the Middle East and Europe.

McCain, upset over the extent to which his campaign has been eclipsed, launched a new video on the internet titled Obama Love, with quotes from television anchors and other journalists that he regards as evidence of bias.

The launch of the video came the day after McCain protested over what he saw as another sign of bias, a rejection of a comment article on Iraq he submitted to the New York Times.

from the Guardian .......

.............The columnist Robert Novak, who has good contacts among Republicans, said a decision on vice-president would be made this week. But McCain's campaign team refused to confirm or deny it but acknowledged that the shortlist had been narrowed and a decision could be made quickly.

McCain's defeated opponent in the battle for the Republican nomination, Mitt Romney, is also in the frame, even though McCain has been widely reported to have little personal rapport with him.

Approached by a group of journalists planning to ask him about a vice-presidential announcement, McCain responded playfully: "What do you want you little jerks?"

In the row with the New York Times, McCain had sent in his article in response to one by Obama last week about Iraq. When the New York Times opted against publication, his campaign team leaked the decision to a website, the Drudge Report.

The New York Times said it had not rejected the article, only asked for the senator to rewrite it to "articulate in concrete terms how Senator McCain defines victory in Iraq". McCain's team said it would not be resubmitting the article. ...............of course McCain could not .

Nor should he. The NYTimes are blithering idiots to consider having a Republican party presidential candidate rewrite a submitted editorial.

why shouldn't they ? McCain has written in the past. and here he is spouting the same old song and dance. nothing new and no explanation as to how. so why should they publish it as it is ?

If McCain can't give the answers people need to hear why should they listen ? He hasn't a clue ! Why didn't he go speak with Maliki ? work for answers rather than go there and go shopping - and lie about it as well saying he was free to move about with no guards . busted . wrong. armed military , helicoptors flying over head . the area cleared , bullet proof vest , ect............ even Petraeaus admitted McCain was wrong.

Your response was as predictable as the day is long.

The audacity of the Times to require a rewrite is unfathomable.

Whining abotu media coverage? He's got enough here, with everything he's ever said and done throughout his entire life brought up in order to demonstrate that he isn't fit for office.

:hmm:
