I have seen these images before and in

my opinion what we are looking at is

a volcanic vent tube created by molten

rock and super heated gases millions

of years ago... but hey I'm no expert

so maybe it is a worm? rolleyes.gif

Perhaps it's the bed of a river that existed when there was water on Mars.

And it is possibly the glacier explanations and the natural features are the best explanations.

Looks like a stalactite/stalagmite... blink.gif

It can't be ice or it would have melted from the surface temperatures of Mars. Some sort of crystallized susbstance.
