Gazz Posted March 14, 2004 #5 Share Posted March 14, 2004 I have seen these images before and in my opinion what we are looking at is a volcanic vent tube created by molten rock and super heated gases millions of years ago... but hey I'm no expert so maybe it is a worm? I have searched and searched for the photo i mentioned in my earlier post, but cannot find it
fulltimekiller Posted April 2, 2004 #16 Share Posted April 2, 2004 the picture doesn't look like a worm
Moonfairie Posted April 2, 2004 #17 Share Posted April 2, 2004 Perhaps it's the bed of a river that existed when there was water on Mars. And it is possibly the glacier explanations and the natural features are the best explanations.
Scorpius Posted April 4, 2004 #18 Share Posted April 4, 2004 Looks like a stalactite/stalagmite... It can't be ice or it would have melted from the surface temperatures of Mars. Some sort of crystallized susbstance.
