No I'm just noticing that people who are actually talking about what was said during the debate have agreed with the observation if not the conclusion . And those in stanch disagreement because they "like McCain" are accusing me of being a McCain basher and saying absolutely nothing about the actual debate. So now that you've had a chance to google key points or watch clips on youtube perhaps you'd like to discuss the debate rather than looking for fights as you seem to always do with people on this site. If you are rude to me again or attack me again I will not respond to you. I have received no PMs and no warnings at all since I've been here and it seems to me that you like to try to cause trouble. Your points are ranting and trying to divide people and cause arguments. You have been incorrect so far in all your points except for liking fishing. I have given you very solid reasons.

I submit that you may not know your own self as much as you think you do.

If you truly do believe in conservative principles such as the ones I've mentioned above, the only way you can reasonable expect anything even close to those principles to be enacted into law is with the Republican party. The Democrat party in it's current state stands for all that is opposite of conervative principles. If you think you will achieve the conservative policies as I've mentioned with a Democrat President you are very mistaken.

As I have said here (and else where) many times, you may not like McCain or Obama. But the reality is one of them will be President on 11/5. Wishing for another choice at this stage just isn't rational.

So take your stand.

We're not betting horses here. I don't feel that I'm wasting my vote if I vote for an Independent or other lesser-known candidate. I'm rationally selecting a candidate who I think will be the best president. Isn't that our obligation as a citizen?

But the reality is the next President will be McCain or Obama. That is undeniable.

There comes a point when even a rational free choice looks&feels more like a wish if the choice has very low chances of affecting the greater out come of events.

I've been thinking quite a bit that this might be an election where the Independent candidate wins because a lot of disgruntled people go into the election booths on election day and say "well I don't want to waste my vote so I'll just vote for the Independent candidate." would be weirdness all around!
