'Occupation forces fire on Iraqi protesters'

Al-Jazeera - 04/04/2004 14:45:00 GMT

Spanish occupation forces have reportedly fired on protesters in the Iraqi city of Najaf, killing at least eight.

There were no immediate reports of casualties.

The protesters support Muqtada al-Sadr, a staunch opponent of the U.S.-led occupation.

A larger protest Sunday by al-Sadr supporters outside the Spanish military garrison in the southern city of Najaf turned violent. At least 14 people were killed in fighting there between Spanish and Iraqi soldiers and gunmen in the crowd.

Where is the U.N? Where is Havier Solana? Where is Jack Straw?

Where are all the double-standarded folks that alwayes like to call Israel "a criminal state" or say that Israel's actions are "illegal"?
