I was curious about this show so I watched the first few episodes of the first season but I got bored easily, lol.

When I first heard about True Blood I was worried it would be some B-grade Buffy rip-off (of course I wasn't aware at the time it was based off of a series of novels). I ended up falling head-over-heels for the series and watched the entire first season in one day.

***SPOILER ALERT FOR THOSE WHO HAVEN'T SEEN THIS PAST SUNDAYS EPISODE***

Ohhh, my goodness. I just have to say, I think Jessica and Hoyt are the most adorable couple, but what with Jessica's recently discovered "hymen dilemma," I'm afraid it might not work out. That exchange near the end between the two of them, "Every time will be like our first time!" "Yeah, and it'll hurt like hell!" It goes to show how sweet and well-meaning Hoyt is, but his inexperience in dealing with women (other than his biatch of a mother) is apparent. I'm hoping, though, that they'll find a way around it, because they're just too cute.

Also, WTF is up with that bomb?! My guess is that it doesn't actually work, seeing as how in the previews for next week's show we see Sookie, Bill, Eric, and others that were there and they were very not dead.

I must agree with Cadaver, I certainly hope there will be many more seasons to come. :)

No, it definitely works. I don't understand how Jason will survive it since he's standing directly behind him but I'm going to be p***ed if he doesn't. If I remember right, Godric doesn't survive in the books so maybe he sacrifices himself and somehow takes the brunt of it. His character doesn't exactly have a lot of room for growth...

But hey, Old Nan finally shows up! About time we get to see the Vamp Queen.

I've started wondering if there's any possibility of a movie being made from this show. It's been done before and these characters are just dying for it (no pun intended). When was the last time we made a good vampire movie here in the states? If anyone could pull it off, it'd be Eric Northman.

Btw, does anyone else think Godric's just gone downhill after that introduction in the flashback? He claimed to be Death and actually made it believable. Ever since, he's just seemed more and more like the boy he is.

Yeah, when we first saw that flashback I was thinking he was going to be super intense, in your face, and more like Eric and his gang. But I guess it makes sense how he's changed. When he was giving that little speech to Lorena (which I thought for sure would end in her being staked), he said that she's still a savage even though she's had years and years to better herself. He's kinda like Bill, i think. But he obviously still has that sadistic mean streak in him, what with scaring the crapola out of that tool Newlin. That was great. But I see what you mean about acting like the boy he is. He's very "Can't we all just get along?!" Which I'm sure is quite lame in the eyes of some people, but I find it interesting.

You saw Tara and Pam coming a mile away though . I have a feeling the debauchery that will ensue, will get better ratings than sookie finally doing Eric.

I assume she will finally do Alcid ,as they claim they will follow the books again ,but I so root for Eric for some reason .Bill annoys me .

Bill is a nerd.. although my favourite all time scene was when Sam and Bill almost got it on together.. remember? may have been season two? Bill had given Sam some of his blood and so those sexual scenarios developed.. oh la la.. that would of been hot!!!!! lol..

Pam and Tara are a match made in heaven.. i couldnt stand Tara before she was turned..

Jason would of been good as a panther.. that was a let down..

and V?? would have to try that one.. too cool..

i haven't read any of the books..

No,I always liked Tara . I love Lafayette . He actually dies in the book, but he was too popular a character .Tara does not end up a vamp either

.Last season ,they said, they were going to start following the book story line ,more closely .

When this was all going into motion ,I believe they looked at the True Blood series, and the Anita Blake series.

I was an Anita fan. But alot more people die in those, and they have degenerated into an erotic porn series, which sucks,as it was my fave series of the genre .I read Rachel Morgan now.
