This is why we do not take psychic claims serious. Because hearing voices is a serious issues and if someone comes in and says they can. We suggest they talk to a doctor about it.

Yeah that's my issue, hearing thoughts is a common symptom of schizophrenia. And then people come on sites and are told like hey you're just a psychic. Which can be harmful

Some cultures did treat schizophrenics better then our own because they thought all the deulsions and voice hearings was the person talking to spirits or gods.

Creative venue opened regarding hearing things.

I cannot deny  you are right stating that. We cannot confuse people without offering them a cure.

We cannot offer false hopes based on easy 'way outs'.

I help paying for this family member meds and I take him myself on my car and sort of follow his treatment. Not only me but others from family help.

With a little gentle tugging this way and that way, your posts are becoming more coherent.

Great job!!!

If I may add, I perceive there to be a certain degree of cultural differences/perceptions as well as language context skills which may have inadvertently caused you to be seen as a bafoon. Or is that baffoon? Nevermind, anyway...

My apology. Doesn't mean I agree with everything you've said, of course.

Baffoon? You mean 'troll' internet clown...no I am not. It is funny. I put it down to a lack of ability to be communicating in a language which is not spoken in my country. Which made you have a distorted idea was my claim of having the ability of metal bending. I was almost kidnapped. But I have a commitment to truth. I ain't a liar but I was treated as a criminal because of my assertions. Hostility I had from you or have?

Although you may doubt (skeptics doubt their own shadow) I am a VIP in our society here.

It is 2 in the morning and I take the trouble to try to make you understand something about treatment of mental diseases.

Take the whole thing hypothetically.

Try to read between words because I am going to try to explain a different perspective a different approach into mental diseases.

Not a propaganda no other suspicious or insidious intentions.

Something which might not be effective in your country. At least not in your specific geopolitical domain. But perhaps this new technique may be applied with nice therapeutic results. Although I cannot provide you numbers figures. Remember it is only on the realm of probabilities.

Perhaps there may be some content of hypnosis a certain component of dramatization. The patient will be asked to provide the whole stage for his own drama.

As if he were a child communicating with his invisible friends the patient hearing voices will baptize the so many characters so as to have control to soothe them to make friends with them.

He will begin to consider them differently. The patient is signing a peace contract with the voices and the 'owner' of the voices.

This therapeutic procedure this new approach has brought about interesting results. It is a psychological procedure. The therapist must be specialist in behaviorism. Must have experience in dramatic arts.

The aim here is creating the stage so that the new characters may act out their own drama into the patient's head.

Remember the aforementioned therapeutic method of dramatization must be accompanied by medication from the psychiatrist.

Psychologist and psychiatrist working together. The bottom line here is helping patience to deal with the voices and not fighting against the voices.

for the past few weeks whenever i sit near somebody for a while ill suddenly hear them talking, but their obviously not since most of the time i can see their face and their lips arent moving

so anyway the talking i hear is always in their voice and its usually about something thats currently happening

for example:

. when my friend/co-worker in my office was berated by my boss i heard him say quite loudly and clearly ''****ing pr*ck'' so after hearing that i thought he actually SAID IT and i thought he would get fired on the spot but instead our boss just walked away (not to mention i saw his face but his mouth didnt move, but hey i assumed i was seeing things)

.another time was when i was just standing at a bus stop and this guy was standing next to me , i heard him say/think ''whats the time?'' at which point he looked at his watch and thought ''oh crap, i missed the appointment'' after that he just quickly walked the opposite way.

now im not stupid, the first thing i thought when i started hearing these things was that i was going crazy and had schizophrenia (or something along those lines) but these thnigs i was hearing were pretty accurate

now im not saying im a psychic, infact i like to think of myself as something of a skeptic but im finding it hard to find any other solution ( well apart from the aforementioned '' im crazy'' theory, but i like to think im still sane)

so, i was wondering what do you guys think?

I agree with you, you may not be crazy. I have begun to suspect we all have this ability but alot of people either "think too loud" or dont pay close enough attention to hear it. It happens to me too and i also felt crazy for it until i noticed that im always hearing it correctly... Not audibly as you do but its more like a thought that could easily be confused with your own thought if only it didnt tend to come out of thier mouth right after. Its alot easier with people you are close to or around alot its very interesting that you are suddenly hearing strangers so loudly.

  • 1 year later...

It's not strange nor is it bizarre for someone to translate thoughts or receive images. There was a time where I was receiving a name with a location. I didn't know what it was that I was hearing. turns out I heard a young girl crying for a friend that was kidnapped. It didn't make any sense why I walked around a neighborhood almost being lured in. Then their stood the girl crying. Without getting into detail, I found the young girl near by where a man had the girl and released her 5 minutes after I approached him asking for the young girl by name. This scared me as well as woke up something inside of me. I am a Christian so I am very careful with this gift. I don't want it to become witchcraft. This was the first time I had exercised this gift, but it wasn't the last. My advise would be not to place yourself in harms way like I did. It was foolish of me, but I do not regret it.

Hearing thoughts was one of the worst things in my experience. I practically asked for it considering how obsessive I can be about what people thought [especially when it came to me, a fault of my own] and I do not know if it was real or in my head, but it was part of my reality and Thank goodness it was for a week. I learned my lesson and I wont wish for such a thing again.

Hi,

Both hearing the thoughts of others and thought broadcast are being reported more frequently. For most of us these things are scary. We like being isolated from others it seems.

Who knew schizophrenia was a super power.

And their super power gets stronger by people, like the above poster, enabling and feeding it with more nonsense. Its severely unhealthy and dangerous.

Oh I know, I call them out on it all the time. Usually get a snarky reply or some crap about it being provided, so I ask for proof and the best answer. "I don't have to provide evidence that I got pixie powers" umm.....considering you are claiming to have super powers I think you kinds do.

And breathe.

Yes I'm prescribed alanzipine but have recently relapsed...

You really should start take it your meds again.

My father-in-law in schizophrenic, before starting on medication he would have conversations with the TV. He honestly believed it was talking to him. He’s been on medication (taken regularly) for years and sees a psychiatrist regularly. He’s able to live a somewhat normal life, he has dementia now so nothing is ever really normal.

My husband tells me his childhood was pretty miserable at times due to his fathers untreated mental illness.

You may think you are ok but you need these meds. You wife needs to to take them. So does your family.
