lakeview rud Posted October 21, 2009 #37 Share Posted October 21, 2009 There is suppossedly a creature in Lake Erie called the "Snake in the Lake" which I have actually had a person tell me they saw. This is of fairly good size (6 feet plus) eel or such with a head the shape of a horse's head but of course more serpent or eel facial features. In the cryptid list quoted in an earlier entry there is a reference to "Bessie" being in Lake Erie but I do not know if these are one and the same. Good luck finding more info. Paranormalcy Posted October 24, 2009 #39 Share Posted October 24, 2009 A friend of mine says he was brought up with the phrase "Gnitches and Gnomes", that isn't like, "Nomes", like normal pronunciation, but "Guh nomes", same with the "Guh nitches", which he says are supposed to be similar to but not the same as actual Gnomes - these are the corner of the eye creatures, which sound kind of like faerie to me. Maybe not cryptids as one might usually think, but I kinda feel like if it's an entity, it could be considered - these to me would be one of the least likely to actually exist as beings. Another cryptid which lived right up until just before the first European settelers came to New Zealand. Drums Posted April 22, 2013 #48 Share Posted April 22, 2013 Here's a few less well-known crypitds for you: Kungstorn, King Eagle, was a giant bird that would grab children and eat them throughout Europe back around 1830s to 1950s Monkey Man of India, also called Hanuman, terrorized alot of villages in 2001 Nepalese Dragon is a 40 to 50 foot giant snake that would suck its prey into its mouth through a powerful inhalation, only sighting of this creature was in 1980 Ropen, a pterosaur in New Guinea, that would attack natives Doubt any of them are real, but the monkey man is a interesting read. Also I know someone already said it but the loveland frog is a pretty good read too, as a few of the reports came from officers.
