yeah on a closer look it seems its a bastardised list of de praestigiis daemonum by Johannes Wier (aka Piscinarius), the text attributed to solomon (lesser keys and the testament of solomon) and the dictionnaire infernal by Jacques de Plancy (aka Collin de Plancy)

Yeah Did You Know There Is 1000's Of Demons In Each Legion

most sources (including all the ones I mentioned above) claim there are 6666 demons per legion

in theory (and if you believe demons/angles cannot reproduce) there should only be 133,306,668 demons in existence (the 1/3 of angles that chose to side with the devil) but many numbers for many reasons have been put forward.

And that's all if you believe what someone wrote a long time ago. David Icke currently writes about races of reptilian aliens living among us on Earth. But should we list it as fact just because it's written by Icke (or Solomon)?

1-Yeah True

2-Yeah I Read That Somewhere

Yeah If They Can Just Imagine When Satan's 1000 Years Of Being Locked In Hell Is Over And If A War Does Start (I Know It Sounds Crazy But Just Imagine) 133,306,668 Demons Without Including Satan Humans Would No Chance LOL

Icke is just cashing in like everyone else is trying to do. Hang on that's just what Solomon did wasn't it? I know he started all wise an all but I don't think he ended up be the son David had hoped for. Maybe I am wrong and the way demonology is interpreted is wrong. I know I wouldn't want to come across Pazazu anywhere?

I never listed anything as fact (past it was written down) I dont believe in demons or gods or well most the stuff on here, I was merely providing/discussing source materials.

A very common and basic list. Something that is terribly easy to find. What I find interesting are more obscure demons from different cultures and religions. Of course that depends on the definition of a demon you are using. In some cultures, a demon is merely a god/spirit that is no longer worshiped and is p***ed. The act of using charms and prayers is an attempt to appease the god/spirit (hence you get items like amulets to Pazuzu, even though he seems like a bad character).

you might like A Field Guide to Demons, Fairies, Fallen Angels and Other Subversive Spirits

while the stories or info might be twisted to suit purpose the book has alot of interesting "demons" from many faiths and cultures and is worth a read imho, its quite a "fun" book as well so if your hardcore into demons and all that is dark then it might not be for you

Depends on what soiurce you choose to complie your list from. the Catholics have a different list than the Hebrews, and when the list was combned, early, middle or late Middle Ages, and which religios order complied it.

So your saying that these "lists" have been altered to suit the purposes of the specific order? I can hardly contain my shock.

I personally think Aguares got screwed on that list, on MY list I have him ranked #1 on the difficultly alone of the souls he's accumulated.

Some of these listed as demons can also fall into the Fallen Angels catagory from the times of Enoch.

Stating your sources can would help. There are many names for angels and demons throughout many cultures and throughout history. :alien:

Has technology and modern day science made religion and beliefs in occult obsolute?

Has technology and modern day science made religion and beliefs in occult obsolute?

well, in reality yes it has. as science has more or less explained how we came into being. thus making the religious stories of creation obsolete. but people still choose to believe in it, because many need something to believe in, which is fine. or if they believe their religion shows the proper, 'ethical' way to live. which is also fine. but science doesnt really concern itself with that.

Seen it, owned it, had it stolen.

hey, i told you i just Borrowed it.

I was just talking to people in general who see that list and will think it's 100% truth confirmed because they see it listed here.
