Happy birthday, you

Wish I'd been 'round to say it

but maybe next time

chimes play in the breeze

dictating mood of the wind

distant thunder rolls...

sleep doesn't come fast

the memory just lingers

why'd she eat the grass?

I can stand the ridicule

when we tell the truth

has your rage abandoned you

maybe now we'll talk

a haiku that developed into a short poem that is a collection of haikus..enjoy

midnight ramblings of

the grey matter's silent, but

truthful monologue

awakens the mind

bringing to the forefront, all

possibilities

eyes dart about the

darkened room, a blank canvas

for which to paint dreams

scenarios play

out like movies on a screen

sleep escapes tonight

lulling the monster within

for he too must sleep

For he too must sleep

Whose cares are left aside

Forgotten in dreams.
