'thunderstorms' Spotted On Saturn Moon

(CNN) -- Bright patches of methane have been detected swirling around the southern pole of Titan, settling a longstanding question as to whether Saturn's largest moon possesses clouds, according to a new study.

Interesting article, I'll post that to the space/tech news column on the front page in just a few moments.

Speaking of going to the moons of Saturn, here's NASA's web site section that reports on the progress of the "Cassini" spacecraft, as it nears it's destination of Saturn and Titan. There are also some excellent photographs in there too.

It will be really amazing to see what sort of close up images of Titan NASA can get via Cassini, including those from a lander that will go down through the atmosphere of the moon, analyzing the atmospheric composition and taking more photographs as it goes. Not even NASA can fully speculate at this time just what the probe will find there.
