In the last post about this subject someone said they found the video. Another person said they did too!

So I asked for a link and was ignored or something. Anyways no one was willing to put up a link so I don't think they found it for real. So if you hear let me know. I would search but all my blogging is from my phone.

If you find it please send me a link.

The film itself should be appearing on an episode of Deadliest Catch with what I heard was a special where they would then go out to look for them. However, and there always seems to be a however, the film seems to be caught in the middle of a legal struggle between the network producing the show and two of the memebers of DC, who went AWOL.

So ... I guess we'll just have to see.

I just read the same thing. I wonder who actually said it was supposed to be on in September? As far as I know, the season for DC is over, so why would a new episode air after the season?

Sorry, that's not what I meant. I know it was John Kirk who announced it, what I'm wondering is who told him that it would be on in september. Mustve been Discovery I guess....?

It wouldn't suprise me if September was just a guess or something that has evolved through chinese whispers. However the fact that it won't be shown in September will probably be used as evidence by the detractors to further their point that the footage doesn't actually exist.

Hopefully the Deadliest Catch spin off delay has nothing to do with this footage and it isn't mired in development hell for years or canned.

So October is nearly upon us and no mention of the TV special...either it was a BS writeup or they really found something and are investigating (or being told to **** by the government)

I swear a couple people in earlier posts said they seen it. I asked for a link and was never responded to. I think they may have watched thew wrong footage or something. Either way no response. That's too bad.

Maybe the bunny hid the cadbury saurus's untill easter.

Why would the government want to hide something like this?

I'm still confident that the footage exists. Whether it will ever be released is another thing. September was probably a hopeful guess at best.

Kind of related - I've often wondered how it would play out if something were found on one of these shows.

They shoot, what, 6 months or so in advance. Let's say they found proof of Bigfoot - would they sit on it that long? Would it not be leaked?

Then, would they showcase the evidence on what are, frankly, fairly low rated shows that not a lot of people watch - compared to mainstream network TV.

No government really would but it gives those who believe an easy way to explain away the lack of evidence.

This is so true....If Josh Gates ( Destination Truth) found a live Yeti say tomarrow , they would not wait 6 months from now to air it on world news....So , every time you watch a new episode , know that nothing solved , or we would all ready know :)

Well, that's not entirely true, remember the footprints they found in the season 2 opener on the Yeti? When they got back from the mountains with the casts, there was a ton of media people there waiting for them, supposedly tipped off by one of the guides. This was in Nepal (I think) I wasn't an avid internet user a few years ago, so I'm not sure if that news leaked out to the west, but I'm sure it must have, before the show aired. Of course you're right about the present however, that if there was a new episode out with startling evidence, we would have for sure seen or heard about it before airing. In that you are undoubtedly correct. (And by startling evidence I mean something more substantial than a blurry Flir image or a EVP which could be anything, which they capture every episode anyways.)

(Edit, errr...update, whatever you wanna call it): I found THIS article dated December 1st 2007, and the shows original air date was March 5th, 2008. So yes, I suppose if anything significant is found, we will hear of it beforehand. :D

Hmmm, very interesting, I'd definately like to see how this plays out.

The one thing I find curious about this, is that you that if these Cadborosaurus are displaying pod behaviours that they probably migrate as well similar to modern whales and dolphins. With this is mind, especially if seen in Alaska, you would think that over the years that native Inuit people around the area would fish/hunt for these animals as a source of food.

Though I guess the above comment could be related to the Greenland Shark, which was caught and consumed by the Inuit frequently, but yet hadn't been acknowledged by the scientific community up until a few years ago.

Yeah, but they are skinny little things with hardly any meat on them. Being "rare" animals too, I'd hardly think it would be worth the effort. Maybe they think so too

The Greenland shark was described by Johann Gottlob Schneider and Marcus Elieser Bloch in 1801. By comparison, the domestic horse was classified a mere 43 years earlier.

lol - A group of Dolphins is called a “pod”. A group of Caddy’s is called a “dealership” :0
